I'm new to the world of cards kind of... I have done the odd card here and there with the basic fold. I know there are so many different cards out there I was wondering whats your favorite??

I'm partial to the gatefold and the tri-fold.

I think I like the basic single fold cards but do occasionally make them in different sizes like to fit a business size envelope. Sometimes to me it is too much thinking to make a card with all the folds. For me it's all about the decorating and embellishing

I like the joy fold cards and the Z fold cards. Awhile back I was making joy fold cards like they were going out of style. Now I see the Z fold ones are prevalent...so gonna give them a try.

All of those! Plus the concertina card and the stair-step.

Simple and clean cut. Love the diversity of how to make cards but the single fold is my favorite.

The simple, single fold is what I mostly use too. I've tried a few folds but always end up back with old faithful.

Is it possible for anyone to post a list of a bunch of fold names? I could look up the names on youtube and teach myself some new techniques. I know at one point there was such a list somewhere on scrapbook.com but I can't find it anywhere.

I found this-
A - Z of Folded Cards

Lots of cards and most of them link to a tutorial.

It depends. I like the single fold for most cards, but I will use more advanced designs for weddings, or very special ocassions.
