I am new at this, but can someone tell me exactly what an avatar is? I saw it when I was working on my page but was not sure what it was!

Thanks!

Woo Hoo! I see it now. Strange, it didn't appear right away! Oh well, it's here now, that's all that matters!

GIF is a file format. Graphics files can come in different formats...

If you see someone with an avatar that moves, that is an animated GIF.

Well, what would you like to learn to do?

A couple of places to start. Go to the Tips and Techniques forum, and look at the Each One Teach One thread. There's lots of good info there.

If you're looking for layout ideas, visit the Gallery, and take a peek at the Floor Plans and other user sketches area.

If I'm not on the right track with what you're asking, let me know!

I am new. I started watching you all on NSBD. How do you put things in your gallery. Do they just take pictures of their pages and upload them? And how do you get involved in a critique group. They should very helpful?
Thanks,
Beth

Here's a Gallery FAQ, with directions.

Usually, there are posts in the Tips area when a critique group is accepting new members - check in there!
