So, here's a once-over on how - and WHEN - to label your swaps to be moved. These are changing a bit with the addition of the secret pal/circle journal area!!

SWAPS Area

New swap, still accepting members
No label necessary

Swap is still going, but not accepting new members
Label it FULL, or ACTIVE. It will be moved to the Active but Full area.

While it's always nice to say please, "please move" isn't necessary - if you have a choice between FULL, and PLEASE....FULL wins.

If you are using an abbreviation that does not contain the *words* FULL or ACTIVE, there's no guarantee that your swap will be moved.

Swap is over, done, finished
Label it CLOSED. It will be moved to the Closed area.

Comment, inquiry, etc. that has been handled
Label it DELETE.

ACTIVE BUT FULL Area

Swap is over, done, finished
Label it CLOSED. It will be moved to the Closed area.

Secret Pal/Circle Journal Area

Swap is still going, but not accepting new members
Label it FULL, or ACTIVE. I will not be moving these posts, but your fellow neighbors will know that sign-ups are done.

Swap is over, done, finished
Label it CLOSED. It will be moved to the Closed area. This is the only time I'll move anything out of this new area.

If you're making up your own abbreviation, or using one not stated here.....it's probably not going to happen. I don't read all, or even most, of the swap posts.

Please be kind to other swappers who are looking for swaps to *join* and use these labels, rather than leaving your swap in the main area until it's done.

Nobody's "fault"....just a lot of swaps that aren't getting labeled at all, and it makes it harder for neighbors to find new swaps to join.

Great update! We have 29 pages in the swap category and I've gotten to the point that I'm tired of even looking for swaps because there is so much that has to be sorted through to get to the available ones.

Megan, is it possible to get some of the full and active swaps moved from the general swap area? The new swaps are having to be constantly bumped up because of everyone checking in on all the full and active. Sorry to be a whiner!

Yes, pretty please there are tons of Full & Active ( F/A ) and it is hard to find open swaps. Thank you so much for a great forum to play in!

Megan, can we get some of the FULL/ACTIVE and CLOSED swaps moved out of the NEW swap area, PLEASE??

Megan, someone has marked two swaps in the general swap area as closed. They are still active though. One of them, no one has received their items and the other one two people are still waiting.

Can a person mark a swap closed if it hasn't gone postal yet?
