OK - My favorite feature is that I can know when my friends have new blogs posted, without having to check in at their Place every day.

There are two ways to to it. One is to sign up to get automatic email notifications every time my favorite bloggers (like EsteeLynn [whose house just got struck my lightning, incidentally)] post a new blog.

The other is that everybody's My Place has a section where they can see one page blog synopses (in descending order by date) of all their friends' (or favorites) blogs.

Did you know that you could do this with My Place?

You can. You can also mark other people's blogs as "favorites" (even if you're not their friend), and have a notification sent to you when they post a new entry.

Here's how to do it.

First, to get email notifications, go to your My Place profile page, then find the "blogs" box and click on the "Blog Settings" button. Find the "Send me Email Notifications of New Blog Entries from" section and click Friends, Best Friends, or Favorites (or all three). Then click "Change". It's that easy. Now, when your friends or favorites post a blog, you'll get an email. (To sign up someone as a favorite blog, go to their My Place profile, click on their blog, and select the "favorites" check box at the top of their blog.)

So set that up! It's so great. If I hadn't done this, I wouldn't have known first thing this morning that EsteeLynn's house was stuck by lightning.

OK, let's say you don't want emails, but you still don't want to go check in at the blog every day. The other way to do it is to go to your "Blog Settings" (same as above), and from the section marked "Show me recent entries on my "Favorite Blogs" page from the following:" pick the category of people whose blogs you want synopses of (friends, best friends, or favorites), and click "change".

(by the way, did you know that every time someone comments on your blogs you can get an email notification? you can select that option on this page as well . . . )

Then, all you have to do, anytime you want to see which of your friends/favorites has recently blogged is to click on the "Favorite Blogs" button (found in the Blogs box on your profile page) and you'll see synopses of the blogs your friends have most recently posted, sorted in descending order by date and time.

It's so cool.

For example, I just went into mine and in the matter of moments saw that my friends Scrapworks , LarsLesDer , and Tnewman77
has all blogged within the last hour.

Again, how cool is that?

Now, you can stay in touch with all your neighbors more quickly and efficiently, and save more time for scrapping!

My favorite feature is the list of my own posts. I like being able to go back to threads I've posted to and see what else has been said without having to subscribe to every one of them.

To do this, I go from 'My Place' to 'Communication,' then choose 'My Forum Posts.'

What are other people's favorites?

I had been using the search everytime I wanted to see the threads that I had posted to. Thanks for the tip. I do not blog, I would like to, but I can barely keep up with the forums.
