But, but, I'm confused!! I'm a new scrapper, but, not new to digital imaging and most of these programs are for digital imaging.

Unless I'm missing something, they don't do tags, or strips or some, different sizes of frames and don't, far as I know allow you to easily 'build a page'? Please clue me in, for I may be missing out, and, keep in mind, I'm looking for 'user friendly'!!!

Updated to here!

Sueski- We create the whole layout digtitally. You can create embellishments/tags as well with many of the programs (mostly the Adobe family). Click on the link in my siggy and you can see my gallery. None of those are actual pages... they're all digital. I have printed a few at Costco though.

Yep, what Meghan said! And I've created my own tags and embellishments using GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program, which is free), too.

Hello. My name is Jenn, I'm new here and new to scrapbooking! I've been thinking about getting something like Photoshop but haven't had the money. My MIL told me to make a list of stuff I want for xmas so I looked up Photoshop Element and I found 5.0 or 5.0 and Premier 3.0! I'm just lost at what to get, after hearing all these new programs!

I have 5.0 but can't really tell you much as I'm just learning it myself. Premier is a movie making program I think.

Hi,

I just wanted to add some of the other software I have been using lately. Added to my collection
are Scrapbook Flair; Microsoft Digital Image 2006 nad Paint.Net. The last has become a favorite for embellishments.

Don't know beans about digital scrapbooking , but would love to learn! I have that Arc program that came with the puter, but I can't figure out that layering thing. I'm downloading flair, but I'm nervous about it because the free stuff always seems to come with a lot of nasty spyware that clogs up the puter! Anyway what attracts me to digital is that i hear it's so much faster! I spend hours and hours making the paper pages! I worry about how safe the digital would be though, you can burn pages to a cd, but if that gets scratched or anything that would be bad

I would like to start digital scrapbooking but not sure which program to go with. I know I can purchase a copy of CK Platinum something or other from our local Staples store.

It's really tough to decide which program to use. I have used the trial version of Scrapbook Max and liked it but not sure if it's really what I'm looking for.

Any suggestions??

I love to digi scrap. I use a combo of two programs.

Gimp and Photo Explosion. I find them really easy to use.

I've been using elements the last few weeks. I've tried Scrapbook factory and I didn't care for it. Loving elements right now.

Hi, I'm new. I just wanted to say I have been using ACDSee Photo Editor and Scrapbook Max! I love them both.

At first I downloaded Picasa, ACDSee Photo Manager, ACDSee Photo Editor, ScrapbookMax!, PSP-XI, and PSE. I have been playing around on all of these, since they all have that 30 day trial (Picasa is free though). I have a huge learning curve going on where PSP and PSE are concerned. If I do decide to use either of these programs, I will need to take a class, LOL! I did not like ACDSee PhotoManager and it essentially does the same thing that Picasa does (and you can't beat Picasa's price). I decided to go ahead and get Scrapbook Max! because I want to use it with my kids to scrapbook what they learn. The ACDSee PhotoEditor has a tutorial bar off to the side that basically holds your hand and helps you learn the program much quicker. When you don't need it anymore, you can close it - forever if you want.

This is my quick assessment as a newbie digiscrapper.
