Okay, here's a new one. My boss uses the word "genetic" instead of "generic." As in, "I think that idea's too genetic for me." Makes me snicker to myself every time I hear him say it. Correct him? Nah. He's the one that uses "physical cliff."

You should ask him, "Interesting. Did your parents think of that idea?"

Do you have a permanent bruise on your forehead from repeatedly banging your head on your desk?

Gah!

aack!

Scrapbook.com has a new CHA video up about Teresa Collins new collection ...

"Stationary Noted"

I checked online and the actual collection is spelled correctly (Thank G-d ... I honestly would not have been able to buy it if it was spelled wrong), but the video title is making me twitch (and not in a good way)

I made a comment and am sort of hoping they change it

(I know ... I'm pathetic, but the stationary/stationery error droves me batty)

I saw "tittle" too. I laughed. I didn't seethe and foam at the mouth. Hey I'm improving!

Mad, I wouldn't buy it with the wrong spelling either. If it's only wrong on the video I probably would - but I'd ALWAYS remember it as the collection where they spelled it wrongly!

Isn't the little dot on top of the letter "i" called a tittle? Don't know why but that seems that it is.

It is, Henri, but that wouldn't make a very good title!

DH got a Valentine card from the company that delivers his coffee. Inside it says,

A MESSAGE
FOR YOU
LIFES TO SHORT
FOR BAD
COFFEE
HAPPY
Valentines

How many mistakes can they cram into one small card?

In the forums constantly: advice vs. advise. There IS a difference! You don't give "advise."

I have a friend in Louisiana who says, "That isn't just tacky - its tachaceous!" That's her word but now I use it and so does my husband if something is really, really tacky.
