Mmmm.

I was at a bird reserve yesterday. Outside one of the hides was a notice:

QUIET
BIRDS HAVE EARS

My husband, knowing me well, remarked (quietly) "I expect the noisy ones do too..."

Nice!

The street where I grew up had a sign, "slow kids everywhere."

My hubby and I were at an event a couple weeks ago. Someone remarked that the event "is just getting huger and huger." My husband caught it right away, and couldn't believe it didn't bother me more.

It doesn't bother me so much in speaking. I know my brain has gotten ahead of my mouth, and I've stumbled and said some stupid things.

Rosey, is it your birthday today? Have a great day! (Have a great day, even if it isn't your birthday.)

I received this email from my regional manager this morning ... it was so funny, I thought I would pee in my pants (pun intended) ... I have a feeling this is a case of an auto-correct gone wrong and not caught before it was sent, but it is so hysterical that I saved the email so I can reread it when I'm having a bad day ...

"My cell phone is out of service. I am working to get another phone ASAP, in the meantime I will check my email on the computer as often as possible. I apologize for the incontinence."

A few recent oops I've encountered:

Craigslist ad for an appliance STORE:
"YOU'RE CHOICE APPLAINCE"
(The worst part is that this store probably PAID someone to post the Craigslist ad.)

Email:
"decadent's car in small estate"

No one sharing any grammar errors lately?

I read a blog today: "...about my husband and I's journey..."

How about this one?

http://www.cnn.com/2013/11/19/showbiz/ke lly-clarkson-pr...

"Kelly Clarkson's tweet's she's pregnant"

Yikes. At this point, I will conclude I am overqualified to be anĀ internet journalist.

It's either NO apostrophe or too many!

I actually stopped reading the blog, after that sentence.

I am new to this thread. I did not read over the past 90 pages. This may have been mentioned before. I am surprised by the quantity of posts that include "scraping" instead of scrapping.

National Grammar Day AND National Pancake Day all at once? That's so exciting that I may have to start scraping about it!

I recently bought tickets to an event online. The ticket said, "Please Be Advised Exspect Delays."

I was afraid perhaps I had fallen prey to some online scam, and that wasn't the official ticket.
