I just bought a few doodling sencils. I'm wondering if anyone has any unusual uses for them. Has anyone ever inked over them vs tracing?

Yep!! They're great for more than just doodling with pens. I've used the Chatterbox stencils for inking, painting and embossing, too!

Hang on and I'll show you....

Here's one where I used it to emboss the flourishes in the top left and top right corners:

Thanks for the suggestions! What do you clean your stencils with?

I've used the ctmh distrssing kit and inked over my doodling templates with their ink and it looks amazing. I will try to upload a sample later.

I also use stencil paste - see my page for Amy with the floral flourish. Tinted it with chalk Hey the kiss is okay. Beth is my daughter!

I just wiped them clean with a baby wipe. You could also use soap and water.

Wow! I just passed up buying doodling templates because I figured I could free hand them myself and use the template as an inspiration... but I never thought of using them to apply ink direct to page!

Dang it! I think I might have to buy them at some point now.

Oh you guys! Just when I thought I had a pretty wide array of goodies...
I can see myself using these often, unlike some other 'tools' I've bought.
Thanks for sharing!
