I love that. Very much like some of my knitting times. Will send it on to my mom and prayer shawl group.

LOL at some of these posts! I was working on a project in the living room one night...stepped away for no longer than 5 minutes...came back to find my entire BRAND NEW ball of ivory-coloured yarn unwound for me. Still not sure who the culprit was.

This also reminds me of something else I've read about wrapping gifts with cats. If I can find it, I'll share it with you all, because I sure that some of you have this experience too.

ROFL, I just started learning how to crochet, so far so good, but then again I'm trying to do it behind a closed door to keep it away from all the little paws, claws, and jaws. (older fat cat, kitten, dog, & puppy)

My Yorkie Pepper likes to get my balls of yarn too little goof.

Another purpose for kitty.... I use mine when I offer an RAK for a crafty challenge I post. After receiving everyone's entry that they have posted a photo (usually a card challenge), I print everyone's name on the same size piece of paper and I crumple them all up. I toss them on the floor and whichever my kitty pounces on and pushes around first is the winner. How's that for an RAK? (random act of kitty?). I have done 2 prizes this way.

Sorry for laughing but the cat stories are cracking me up big time!! We currently have 17 cats, not all are indoor cats tho. But they get into EVERYTHING! We are out in the sticks and bad people dump kitties out here and we try to take care of any that come to us or that we find. Big $ which we don't have but I could not just ignore an animal who needs help.

I want to learn how to crochet! But am unsure what size hook I should get first. I have loads of yarn! Do you choose a hook according to the thickness of the yarn? I can't watch Utube, our internet is too slow and it gobbles up the down load time when I watch anything like those. Any suggestions for a hook size would be appreciated. Thank You

have you tried the books like Crochet for Dummies or a kids book? sometimes something really simple like that is easiest for me to get started. I'm not very good, I can just do simple stitches in both crochet and knit. Can't really follow a pattern if it's too complicated.
