I'd like to give stamping a try and I'm interested in purchasing some clear stamps with various flourish and doodle designs. Which ones do you recommend for the beginner stamper?

I LOVE my Autumn Leaves flourish stamps (the first one on the list below) and would love to add all of the others. I use them OFTEN! They have held up very well and are so flexible (as far as the ways in which you can combine and use them together). Good luck choosing.

My first set was Autumn Leaves too and I just used a CD case to stick them on to save money.

Close To My Heart has some great flourish stamps also. You can go to a website and just search under Shop Online by "flourish" and will show you some sets.

I love my close to my heart flourishes, but for the beginning stamper, I have to say Autumn Leaves because they are quite a bit cheaper than the close to my heart. I think Walmart has them the cheapest. Also, the close to my heart ones have to be ordered. (don't know about you, but I'm an "instant gratification" kinda person!)

Another vote for Autumn Leaves . My fave AL flourish stamps are the elegant flourishes--they are so pretty!

Ditto on Autumn Leaves !

Do take a white eraser and rub over the images before you use them though. AL brand (and some others) tends to have the ink bead up on them when you first use them otherwise.

In addition to what was listed above, here are more that I like.

Stampin' Up! has some really cute flourish stamp sets. A couple are called Doodle This and Baroque Motifs. Let me know if you have any questions regarding these.

I love Inque Boutique they are inexpensive ($11.75 for 17 stamps) and if you are just starting you don't want to spend a lot of money until you know if you like it. They also have some great swirls in matching chipboard.
Here are some samples:

Monarch

Lots O Dots

Boho Frames
This one is only $3.15 can't beat that.

Cabana

I ordered a bunch of these because I never used unmounted before and I am very happy with them.
Good luck in your search.
Lynn
