I just purchased some clear stamps (which is all of your faults because you guys are huge enablers, i.e. no stamps thread!)...never used them before! I got the flowers, flourishes and journaling boxes...I would love to see your layouts and how you use your clear stamps!!!

I am new to clear stamping as well. Here I used Technique Tuesday 's loopy labels.
I kind of like it, but I don't like cleaning stamps.

On this one I used a few flourishes and the clock..

Again lots of flourishes and a couple of clocks

Sounds like you've made some pretty good choices with the stamps you've bought (as far as the type -they have so many possible uses)... I have also become addicted to clear acrylic alpha sets - I never run out of letters anymore!

I am SO glad you posted this topic. I have tons of stamps, but haven't used them on layouts at all. I just haven't really been comfortable with it. After seeing these, I think I'm ready to experiment! Thanks for posting this. And "Scrappy Mom in MI", you're a pro!

I posted this in the Tips & Tech forum

On this LO, I cut out the stamped journal circles.

On this LO, I stamped the arrow on a piece of transparency and cut it out.

ON this one I stamped and cut out the transparent frame for the photo and the journal tags

Another thing you can do is to start with the stamping FIRST. So if you mess it up, you can just do the other side of the paper or use another piece if necessary. You're not going to mess up other LO elements because this is the first thing you're doing.
I started with plain cs and stamped swirls on this paper. A few of them were embossed with gold powder.

Awww... thanks

As for ink... I use Stazon Black and Timber Brown a lot (want to get some more of their colors) - they are solvent based and make a really crisp dark image. I also use a lot of CTMH and Stampin up colors and have a good collection of the DewDrop Chalk Ink pads.
