For those of you who incorporate stitching into your layouts, what kind of thread do you use? And.....how do you get it so even?

Thanks!

Kathy :-)

I use embroidery floss for hand stitching... I just eyeball it and try and get it as even as possible. There are also templates you can follow You need to poke your holes in the paper before you stitch or you paper will rip.

I use the templates too and absolutely love them! As far as the thread, I use whatever is on sale and in a cute color! I've gotten them for as cheap as 18 for a dollar from AC Moore.

I use embroidery thread and use 3-4 strands. I also use the templates or tea towel embroidery patterns. You can find alot online and I print them the size I need and poke the holes with a paper piercer. Although this pattern was pretty intricate, I could have only done the bird or the frame and there are other simpler ones out there. Good luck!

I just sew with my machine and let it do all the work...and I use regular sewing thread.
