Does anyone have any idea where I could find some vintage-y looking embellies? I see them in some kits and wonder, WOW...I've got to find some of those! Do I just go to an antique store or what?

Sometimes you can find neat stuff like that at auctions. Most auction houses clean out estates and there is almost always sewing stuff in houses. Hope that helps!

There are actually quite a few new embellishments that look vintage or antique. Is it possible you're seeing some of those on pages?

I get stuff at garage sales and Goodwill.

look in consignment shops or even in your jewelry box.

I will have to look at Goodwill...never thought about that! Yes, consignment shops too!!

some of the things I notice are like pix of kids or the ladies...you see a lot on ATC cards. Of course floral stuff too.

Thanks for the ideas scrappers!

Right here in the superstore. I think you can find vintage looking stuff most places. Here is some of what I found in the superstore...not sure if you would classify it all as vintage, but you get the idea.

The kind of vintage stuff you are talking about (pics of ladies that are vintage) can be found at etsy frequently also.

You can also find stamps out there that have that look to them (try etsy for those as well) so you can use the stamp more than once for an atc and such.

I just found TONS of stuff at my local antique mall last week, I'd definitely check yours if you have any nearby. You never know what kind of stuff you will find at places like that, and they're always getting new stuff in.

Ask some older friends or relatives. My Mum still has all her old post cards which her mother collected. Mum won't let me have t hem just yet, but I do have my eyes on them !
