I may be coming up to Chicago sometime next month, and if I can schedule it to be there in early afternoon when you aren't at work, I will try!

We would love to meet you in person, do you know were will you be staying?

I'd be staying in or near Skokie. I come up for Kraft, so I need to be near their offices since I don't have a car.

I can't believe it's the end of June already! We're scheduled to close on our (existing) house this Friday. I hope it happens and doesn't get delayed until next week, so I have one less thing to worry about.

I have to brave up and make the drive, I'll find a way, I do not know if I ever told you girls that I do not drive on express ways but my GPS should show me a way there using only streets, as long as there is daylight I'm okay because we really want to meet you

Margaritaville Resort and Casino in Bossier City, LA is now open! We may have to take a mini road trip over the July 4 holiday to check it out. We love eating at the restaurants.

I've never been to one. They must be good!

Hi girls!!! I'm finally back to a normal work week and still alittle tired and feet hurt. Yesterday I cleaned up my office and worked on all my end of the days. Last week was just insane with bikers. We were busy non-stop Friday and Saturday. The paper estimated that there was over 200,000 bikers in town. The weather was beautiful. HOT but nice out.

I'm so glad to be off tomorrow it is my birthday and all I want is to go get a pedicure so someone can rub my feet.

Erica will you get to come back and visit your family this summer at all like you usually do? You are probably too busy with the selling of your house and getting your new house ready.

Erica - that sounds like a fun 4th of July getaway!!! I want to go to Gettysburg on Sunday but I don't know if we will or not. I have never been there and it is the 150th Anniversary. Saturday night we are going to a Pirates game. I will have to work until close since it is end of the month. The game is just about sold out which really stinks for us getting there and finding parking.

Joyce, I'm hoping to go up for a weekend in August, but haven't booked airfare. the prices have been outrageous! I will definitely let you know if I do.

Gettysburg is a very pretty town. They also have a nice downtown with shops and restaurants that I haven't gotten to yet. If you do go, try to book a private guided tour. We did that a few years ago and it was well worth it. The park guide gets in your own car and drives you around to the most important sites and tells you the history. You can book it on the NPS website.

Does anyone have any July 4th plans? I love celebrating, especially with my family, but we haven't been up to NJ in a couple of years for the 4th.

We'll probably go watch the fireworks at the lake. We went to Addison's Kaboom Town last year, which is supposed to be one of the biggest and best in the country. It was way to crowded and I really didn't see what all the fuss was about. We won't do that again.

Something similar happened to us the year we went to downtown, the fireworks were wonderful and it was great to live the downtown experience, but it was very very crowded, so it is on my been there did that list and I do not think we will ever do it again unless someone invites us to view them from there condo or boat lol

We are going to my brothers house on the 3rd, the fireworks the town he lives in are a few blocks from his house so you can see everything from his front lawn, and hopefully we will be able to use the pool. On the 4th we might go to the beach, but that is still a maybe

Good morning!

It has been very hot and sunny here - summer has arrived. We're supposed to be over 100 degrees today or tomorrow and through the weekend.

Good morning!

Sounds hot there Erica!!! Is your closing still on track for tomorrow?

It's finally cooling down here a bit (at least lower humidity). I'm getting the kids ready for a walk around town. Be back later!!

Good Morning!
Summer is here too, I am liking the walks we can take after 6pm when it is not that hot, having daylight till after 8 is great, we walk by the towns pool and there are always lots of kids having fun, I want to take Eliza there one of these days but I am waiting to use my brothers pool first to see if she like it

No, we won't be closing tomorrow. It will be early next week, but we don't know when yet. Hopefully Monday.

will it be sad for you to leave this house?
I know I got sad when I left what was back then our first apartment, so many memories, even Sammy had a hard time leaving, I remember I put him in the car and he ran out and went directly to the buildings door and started to scratch it, my landlord helped me get him because it was also raining, it was Sammy's first home, but now he has more space and more places to take naps
