I was re-organizing the scrap area and I had to laugh when I realized just how many tools I need right at my fingertips to have "flow", mine below , curious as to what everyone else just has to have in arms reach - keep in mind this does not include all the embellies, inks etc.!!
With in arms reach..
My MM paper cutter
a clear quilters ruler ( I can't live with out those, I have 4 of them)
Pens and pencils
all my adhesives
Everythig else is pretty close, and my chair has wheels, but if the things above aren't right there, forget scrapping, I'll find something else to do!
have LOTS of tools and use most of them...but honestly...I only have to have my Fiskars paper cutter, adhesive, ink, scissors and 8inch clear quilters ruler by my side...everything else gets intermitent use...I am a very basic scrapper.
I don't think you're crazy,,,,,I just want to know how you get straight cuts WITHOUT A PAPER TRIMMER????????? That is truly INSPIRATIONAL! LOL, I HAVE a paper trimmer and I can barely manage straight cuts,,,,,,buying the MM trimmer, hopefully TODAY
I generally have my paper trimmer, page maps/sketches, inks, distressing kit, adhesive and of course all my pp and cardstock I love to play with! I wish I had a cutting machine but will just keep wishing. I have clear stamps and lots of embellies I have at my finger tips too!
I'm really new to this so I don't have much yet, but I couldn't do any work without my:
xacto knife, cutting mat & clear ruler (not crazy about this sytem but it's what I already had in the house, I haven't had a chance to pick up a real paper trimmer yet!)
photo splits (double-sided tape squares, I did a product search but couldn't find them) ZIG glue pen
