1. (Name) Henri (I'm named after my father who was Henry - with a "y") A lot of people ask if it Henrietta and it is just Henri.

2. (From) Born near Mobile Alabama but we live in Ocala, FL.

3. (Age) I am 63 - the "old lady" in the group.

4. (Marital Status) Married to the love of my life since 2009 but he was my teenage sweetheart. Got mad at him and broke up with for 38 years. I tell him, "Don't make me mad again because you don't have 38 more years and neither do I!"

5. (Career) Licensed realtor in Florida and Georgia but am mostly retired now so I can travel with my retired husband.

6. (What I scrapbook) My husband and our romantic journey together and the humor we share in life. Things about our life together that make me laugh or smile.

7. (Favorite color) Depends on what it is. I'm quite fond of yellow and green and teal and pink. I just don't have a favorite. It depends on the shade mostly and what the item is. Lately though, seems a lot of my purchases are pink.

8. (Favorite animal) Sea turtles, although I don't want one - they get huge! But they fascinate me, especially after Bill and I worked for 2 weeks in Cancun on the baby sea turtle rescue program. I also love seahorses and would actually like to have an aquarium someday with seahorses. I just don't want to take care of it. Most of my adult life I have had cats and I love them but don't want to have to ever change another litter box.

9. (Favorite food) Lobster, and anything with enough sugar in it. I love pizza from Fiero's here in Ocala. I love shrimp almost any way you prepare it and sweet corn. And potatoes.... so many ways to prepare potatoes. Fudge and chocolate goes on the list, as wells mangoes. And right now I would love a nice tender filet from Ruth's Chris - medium rare please and a side of their sweet potato casserole.

10. (Favorite item if you were stuck on a deserted island) Aside from my husband (who really is quite an item), definitely my camera, followed by books. Oh, gotta have my computer... now I just need somewhere to plug it in! Since it is an imaginary desert island - may I order imaginary electricity?

Hi, I'm Raquel, aka 'Rocky' IRL. I'm a 54 year old retired flight attendant and transplanted New Yorker, now living in Delaware with DH and working part-time at the local casino. We have 2 daughters, both grown and gone plus one 5 yr old grandson. No pets, and I have all 3 sb stores here in town; J's, M's and AC's.

My birthday is June 26, 1958.

I'm a 'New Yorican', born in Puerto Rico but raised in New York. I scrap and craft alone, and being an only child, I like it, although I do love to socialize and do my learning right here.

I make cheesecakes, enjoy entertaining and party planning, drink my coffee through a straw, am ocd in certain areas, and enjoy sharing personal drama with my besties, because life events can be either funny or relevant to whatever.

1) Favorite color - I love sunny yellow bedrooms and summer dresses or a white one too but I live in white cotton tee shirts with jeans or gym clothes. And although I mostly don't enjoy dressing up, once in your life you should have the perfect red dress and red shoes - I already have so I never have to do it again. I only buy black or red cars, alternating.

2) Favorite Animal - I have a thing for wolves and in fact stayed at a wolf sanctuary over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in 2011. Made a whole scrapbook about the experience.

3) Favorite all time food - I can't, I have so many ... but If I have to pick my absolute that I couldn't live without, that I could eat every single day for a month, then I'd say pizza, NY style, but Chicago style is good too.

4) What to have with me on a desert island - assuming I have food, well then my laptop - with that I would have access to books, information, communication and entertainment.

5) Working on right now - I've recently started branching out into other creative areas, such as distressing and repurposing furniture. I just finished redecorating the guest room to have a shabby chic look and did a dresser and accent table and some other small, decorative pieces, and am currently working on a project which must remain secret for the moment since it's going to be my gifts for The Feast of the 3 Kings this coming January 2013. My next project will be to tile a small area of backsplash in my kitchen.

4. Briefly describe your family situation. Been married 4 years to my husband, Dustin. We are currently working on saving to buy a house. Then we will start trying to have kids!

5. What do/did you do for a living? I work at a local hospital as a nurse in Day Surgery. I love my job and am glad I went into nursing.

6. What is your favorite subject to scrap? Friends and family. Anything I have pictures of really.

7. Are you working on anything currently? Currently I am working on 2011 and at this time our Flappers trip to Dover, DE in Sept of 2011.

8. Do you scrap mostly alone or with groups? And are you lucky enough to live close to any hobby/craft/scrapbooking stores? I live a minute and half away from M's. I have a Joann’s about 10 min away. M’s is too close so I shop alot... too much actually! I scrap alone. I don't know anyone in town that scraps and I'm kind of nervous to try a crop for the simple reason that I don't feel my LO's fit in with everyone else's. I love my work though.

9. Come up with one more interesting/memorable fact about you: I absolutely love playing sports especially softball and being in the sun.

My name is Amy. Everybody calls me Ames.

I am from Oregon.

I am 32.

I have a furbaby boy Chihuahua.

I am in the medical field but I'll leave it at that because it bothers some people.

My favorite things to scrap are concerts and shows that I go to. My friend and I have been trying to get to more of these things lately, our goal is at least 1/mo. Other than that the dog, but he's getting a little boring because all of his pics are starting to look the same.

I am not working on anything right now but hope to do a LO this weekend of our May event that is tomorrow. Yay! I'm just crossing my fingers that we can use our cameras.

I always scrap alone. I don't know anyone else who does it and I don't think I could do it with others anyway. I don't like people to see anything until I think it's done and I kind of like my space when I'm trying to focus on something. Like Bethany, I don't think my LOs would quite fit in either.

I am between a J's and M's and another big craft store that I actually like a lot better. I recently found 2 LSSs near me but I haven't gone inside yet. I'm scared that I will not want to leave.

One more interesting thing about me, hmmm....Even people who have known me very well for years have never noticed until recently that I have very green eyes. They admit that because I'm half Asian they just assumed they are brown. When they do notice, they insist that they're contacts because of how green they are. I'm Irish as well so I also have freckles.

Oh, and I love watching Food Network and collecting recipes from anywhere but very rarely cook.

Also I'm reliving my childhood and scrapbooking is sharing equal time with video games.

1) Favorite Color? Pink. Blue is a close second - my favorite color of nailpolish is blue (except for toes, that's hot pink). And red is an absolute necessity at times - every woman needs at least one good pair of red shoes and a red bag ... actually I feel the same way about gold, too. And I'm becoming quite fond of white. Married to Craig, celebrated our 8th anniversary this year. My son is 19 years old (from a prior marriage), and works full-time at the company my DH does. No furbabies, not allowed to have pets in the condo we live in.

5. What do/did you do for a living? I am a legal assistant for a downtown Honolulu law firm.

6. What is your favorite subject to scrap?
Probably vacations, because you generally do a variety of things while on vacation as opposed to sports books (however, I work on those too).

7. Are you working on anything currently? Finishing up a 2011 Hawaiian vacation, 2012 One Little Word Project, and projects to give away as gifts or home decor.

I used to have dedicated space in my home to scrap and I enjoy scrapping with others. We now have a much smaller home, but I still manage to scrap when we are not hanging at the beach.

2. Where are you from? I was born in Ann Arbor, MI but I consider myself a gypsy. (Moved 41 times in my first 18 years of life). Between me being in the military and marrying a guy in the military, I have lived all over but currently, I live in Anchorage, AK and have for over 20 years.

3. Age? My mind says 25 but my body says 104. Really I'm 51.

4. Briefly describe your family situation. I have been married to Tom for over 27 years (and they said it wouldn't last. Fooled them.). We don't have any children. We lost our beloved George (200 pound St. Bernard) many years ago and haven't had the heart to get another pet.

5. What do/did you do for a living?
I'm a Wildlife Inspector for the Office of Law Enforcement, US Fish and Wildlife Service.

6. What is your favorite subject to scrap?
Traveling and our adventures!!!

I am in the throws of a 14 day Caribbean cruise. I have finished the first volume but having a slight block on the second half.

A couple of years ago, my DH built me a studio in one of the bedrooms for my birthday. I scrap alone with my music blaring. (P.S. I'm also a music addict.)

This is one of my all time favorite layouts! I posted it last night but it got buried in minutes with all the talk of the new board. I really wanted to see what y'all thought of it (I'm from the south - I was born in Alabama - I can say y'all and get by with it because we talk that way!)

We found a wonderful antique mall in Salt Lake City. On the side of the building the end of a real car sticks out and the building is painted and designed to look like it crashed. One one side is a painted police officer and a couple fighting is painted on the wall on the other side.

Bill went over a pretended to be talking to the police office painted on the wall and on the labels we are all blaming each other for the "accident".

We were in Salt Lake City for a license plate convention and Bill and his sister would not let us block the license plate in any of the pictures!

I already took the old thread out of my faves.

Here is my suggestion plus a couple comments for the other comments on the othe thread!
I think we should all have a contact list/birthday list/emergency contact list. That way not one person is responsible for trying to figure out where people are if we get worried. I think this list should consist of Name (First/last), address, phone number, birthday, email, emergency contact. I don't think we should open this to anyone, thus the closed sign! I think we should continue as we were in our old group posting lo's as we get them done and chatting as we can keep up. I love this group!~!

Ames... You and my husband would get along great! He loves horror movies. I will watch them but don't really like them. The ones I really don't like and refuse to watch are the ones that could potentially be real and happen in real life. That freaks me out. *Dont tell Dustin I said I would watch them, cause I refuse when he asks!* Your picture turned out good too.... beautiful! And I'm so proud you figured out how to embedd.

Henri... those pictures of the mountain turned out awesome. You do such a good job taking pictures of things. You are one that has a nack for picture taking.

Shirely enjoy NY... one day I'm going to actually go into the city. I have driven through NY state but never stopped anywhere.

I love it.... The pictures are priceless. When I find goofy things like this and we are out and about I like to take pictures with the statues or paintings. When I was in Boston there was a statue of a huge man walking and a friend of mine grabbed his hand and pretended to walk with him. We had a ball! I can't remember if I scraped my boston trip. I like horror movies, but honestly only the classics like Aliens my all time fave, Halloween the original and I have a sort of a thing for werewolves so original Werewolf and werewolf movies in general.


It finally stopped raining and is gorgeous here too - I know Shirley is having a great day today, it's just perfect out.

Bethany and Raquel - could you send some of your nice weather here. We have been looking a gray skies and rain for 3 days now. I can't even take my new layouts outside to take pictures.

Working on my Valentine one that I'm kind of stumped on - mentioned that in the other thread I think. I don't think it was here. I'm going to put some effort into that today.

Seems I am stopped all over the place waiting or either custom die cuts or custom papers, but still getting a lot done. I'm glad that Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Arica Chile and on other county is complete. Then after the cruise is through I have Hawaii to scrap from this year, Las Vegas from that week, although I didn't take many pictures this time, our time in California at Bill's daughter's wedding, and the trip home.

Lots to do to finish all that. By the time I'm finished with all that I should have all my past stuff current here.

I like the old Mummy and Frankenstein and classic horror flicks but do not like the blood and guts of the newer stuff. I don't like the teen horror flicks like Freddy Kruger stuff at all.

And I definitely don't like stuff that could be real - the kind of stuff that gives you nightmares.

Bill may not believe in the supernatural and thinks I'm silly, but I have a healthy respect for what I don't understand.

Another layout - then I'm running to Michaels or Joannes to get more black paper for matting and papers to match a sunset taken in Lima Peru. Then I have to go to Office Depot and see if I can copy that menu on photo paper.

Won't be gone too long. I half tempted to go to Bed Bath and Beyond to get some more kitchen canisters to match what I'm using now.

I had them labeled professionally and they say, "Self Rising Flour, All purpose Flour, Bread Flour, Cake Flour, Self-Rising Cornmeal, and Sugar."

Griffins, who did my custom labels is closing and won't do anymore custom labels so I will probably get new canisters for cookies and things to match, but not label them. You will be able to see inside of them. I just labeld the others because all the different kinds of flour would get mixed up.

Oh - I almost forgot to post the layout. Here it is (not my favorite, but it is okay).

We spent the night in the Moose suite - AGAIN - on FE Warren AFB in Cheyenne and visited the original pony express station in Nebraska. It's not a terribly exciting layout, but we had fun. We always do.

I know it's a ways away but I'm horrible because I can never come up with anything for xmas. I was interested in a cricut but they are way too expensive and then each time you want a cartridge it's another $90. The slice looks awesome, small and it's cheeper. Plus you don't have to spend an arm and leg for the cartridges.

I looked into a slice but you can't weld letters together and that is what I'm really looking for.

I'm very sloppy and individual letters so I don't even try to use them anymore. I've wasted so many letter stickers, peeled them off and threw them away.

I've lined them up perfectly, so it isn't that, I just like the welded letters better and I can only do that with a cricut.

I need to keep looking for a Cricut on ebay.

The "Nebraska" is welded and I just like that welded look!

The price of the Cricut cartridges concerned me, but I only need one cartridge with a font I like. I don't need all the pictures and things - i don't want to buy cartridges for a picture I will use once. Great if I made cards and would use it over and over, but I don't so it isn't worth it to me to have more than one cartridge with letters I really like.

Another thing I like - with the Design package on Cricut I can use the computer disk, hook it up to the Criacut and do all the work on the computer screen. That allows me to maniuplate the words and how I want to space them.

I think the only reason I haven't gotten on is total fear of leaning something new!
