I'm semi new to scrap booking but am wondering what are the best markers to use in a scrapbook? I was told that Sharpies are a bad idea to use in a scrapbook - does anyone have any other suggestions? Preferably ones that are not super expensive.

I use Zig markers...and LOVE them.

Others use American Crafts markers -- Galaxy markers and Slick writers or Signo pens.

Zig pens definitely. And you've got to have a Uni-Ball Signo (best for white ink)

I am probably crazy but I have both sets of zig markers and I rarely use them. I use my micron pen the most if anything.

For markers like Sharpies I love the Bic Mark-it markers. They are acid free and come in lots of colors. I even saw that Staples has a whole display where you can make your own pack, picking the colors you want! I used them a lot to color in stamped images on my Christmas cards last year.

FYI, Sharpie markers are acid free.

I had heard that Sharpies were not acid free. That's why I picked up the Bic Mark-it markers. I guess I'd better check again!

You want a pen that is fad proof and water proof besides acid free. You would hate to have all the writing you do fad so no one can read it in the years to come. Creative Memories offers great pens!
