Hi everyone--

I am a new cuttlebug owner. I also own the expression and wanted to be able to emboss and cut other materials. I am pretty sure that I have ruined all the plates that came with it but wanted to confirm. When you are cutting shapes with the cuttlebug, is it supposed to leave an "imprint" of the shape on the plastic plate? If not, what could I be doing wrong? I'd really appreciate any input. Thanks!

P.S. I also ruined the extra thick cutting pad by running it through the first time with the regular size embossing plate. It looks like it has a stress fracture:)

Yes, it's okay that the dies leave impressions on the plates! You didn't ruin them!

It´s ok to get marks on the plates. I always have the C-plate first and then only cut on the b-plate, they are cheaper!
