I love those marble magnets Sandra! Great find! I just might try some myself. You'll have to post yours when you're done.

Lori, glad to hear everyone's back up to snuff. I haven't started any Christmas prjects yet. I'm making altered frames for 4 people, homemade praline in altered starbucks frap bottles for people we get services from, a framed layout (a reproduction of one I already did for myself but that I think someone in the layout would like to have), family calendars from iPhoto, and now, probably those marble magnets Sandra posted. I was goign to make cards, but I found a bunch I didn't use last year, so I think I'll use those first. I'll still make a few cards though. I guess I should get my but in gear...

Haven't stopped by in forever! Sorry guys. It's so busy for me right now. Crazy amounts of birthdays and starting to prep for Christmas. I wish I need to get better organized so that it doesn't seem so busy this time of year.

Started my December Daily. I decided to use an old book of my granfather's and alter it to use as an album.

Here it is:

There are more pics in my gallery or my blog if you're interested. I've never done an altered book or anything of this sort before, but I think I'm going to loooove it!

Now I am going to see if I missed anything!

WOW you ladies got pretty chatty all of a sudden!!! lol

Linda: did you love using your friend s (my keyboard is all messed up so I canèt figure out how to get proper punctuation back, so please try to roll with me) CricutÉ(that s a question mark btw) Linda...I love that you totally get the ÈloveÈ part, it is part of the addiction I think. So much validation that comes from it that I donèt get so directly from anywhere else. It has helped build my confidence as a person overall, I think

Nicole: what cricut carts did you getÉ DO you have SCAL

Tracy: welcome back...how is life with more financial securityÉ Are you guys looking forward to christmas in a new more financially secure and thus more relaxing way this yearÉ ARe you having any struggles with the childcare transitionÉ I totally love this hobby for the same reason (reinvention and as well the mindboggling versatility of it. The things we can make, the gifts, the supplies we have, I can make any of these things look pro now with all of my tools and gadgets...think of the possiblilty for our kids to use this goldmine of tips tricks, techniques and STASH for things that they might need for school, social or whatever, even developing their own creativity (this excites me) I love how you can take almost any craft into scrapbooking on some level. I never get bored and that is why I am scared about how I am eventually going to store all of my layouts. I know that I will be doing this for my whole life and I already have almost 300 layouts done...OMG!

Oh and great idea about ice skating. I am thinking about doing that with the fam this year. I think it will really help me in the winter if I make myself partake in more outdoor activity. I will likely only enjoy it if I with others though.

I would jump on the dumbwaiter and tv idea ASAP. How could it get any betterÉ

Sandra: I have been seeing thses marble magnet thingys popping up all over the place lately. Totally want to make them for a scrapbooking embellie just like primaès pebbles.

Tricia...good to hear from you again! I got Graphically Speaking and New Arrival. I actually just got Design Studio and I am really loving it. I'm a planner, so it's nice to be able to plan before I cut and not waste paper.

I hear ya on the not wasting paper!!! UI try to jam everything as close together as possible to get the most out of the paper. I also donèt buy new mats ever. I just wipe the 2 I have down when they arenèt sticky anymore, then I masking tape up the non-cutting portion of the mat and I spray a light layer of adhesive onto it. Works like a charm!

Great idea Tricia. I am going to have to try that. I hate buying new mats...and wasteing the old ones.

I bought some, but I think the imperfections are too noticable. I`m thing about ordering some actual cabochons.

Hey everyone! Hope that everyone had a good weekend! I didn't really get anything done this weekend. We had the MSU game and then Sunday I did nothing. Wasn't feeling real good. Might try to get some stuff done tonight. I'm off of work tomorrow, but I have to go help my mom clean the house for Thanksgiving, she has a bad shoulder. Then it's my dad's birthday, so we are having dinner over there. Well, everyone have a good week and a great Thanksgiving...eat lots of turkey!

I am SOOOO looking forward to the financial security. First paycheque will be a huge relief. No trouble with the childcare so far. We have a situation set up where we're giving it a try but we're not committed to stay if it's not a good match. So far she's a bit too cautious with the kids, but we'll see how receptive she is to feedback.

300 layouts!!?? How ong did you say you've been scrapping?
