You could write it on the back of your LO, or make a tag and leave one edge of a pic open to place the tag with a ribbon attached in it, or make a "flip" page where you attach just the top or side of paper to your LO and write the journaling on the part that is up against the LO. Just some examples, HTH

a lot of people only glue 3 sides of a pic and stick a tag there. or they use hinges to hide things. some people put an envelope on the page to hold the journaling. others make a "pinwheel" sort of device that swivels and can show journaling. anything you come up with is good.
It's ok, I scrapbook.

I scrapbook, therefore I have proof!

They finally got the ribbons in stock, so I had to buy everything! I can't wait to get it, admire it, find someplace to stuff it amoung all this junk, and then never use it! ~txerica

I also like to tape down only three sides of a photo and put some embelishments on the edge of my journaling paper so that I have something to pull it out from under the photo with. I have a couple of lay outs in my gallery that feature this - if I could figure out how to post them in the forum I would.

edit images, make sure that image is enabled for public embedding. if it isn't check the box that enables it. Save changes. Underneath the image are buttons. Click the one that says "link/share" click on the option for IMG code and then copy the line of code that it gives you and paste in the forum.

Hope that helps Gilby's Girl.

Miss Take> Pretty much you can hide your journaling on anything you want. Even on a piece of paper that you simple fold up and tuck behind some element on your page. What kind of project are you working on?

it was nothing i am doing in particular. i just was looking at some peoples layouts and one had a description that said the journalling was hidden. i couldn't tell where. (i guess that's why it is called hidden!) and wondered how people do it.

I like my page to tell the story, but sometimes more needs to be said. Sometimes I make a pocket on the back and put the journaling there, attach a ribbon so it can be puled out from the top. Maybe this could work for you.

I do hidden journaling by putting it on a tag with a ribbon or a string and then sticking it behind a photo with only the ribbon or string showing. It stays put b/c it is b/w the glue dots on the photos, kind of crammed in there.

In my gallery, the School Days and Egg Hunt pages both have hidden journaling if you want to see an example.

I have a tendency to get long winded with my journaling.

I generally will pop-dot a picture on 3 sides and then slip a piece of cardstock behind in. I'll add a tag top (there are a couple of punches and even die-cuts) for the pull up.

Someone mentioned thread to pull up - that would be nice with some small beads threaded onto it.
