Have any of you had this problem; and if so, do you have a solution?

I bought my first set of TH stamps because of the vintage look that I thought would be great for use with the heritage album that I recently started. The Photographie Studio stamp was to be used on one of the introductory pages. I noticed right off that all of the TH stamps are a lot more "sticky" than my other clear stamps. They work just fine with his Distress Inks. However, when I put the Accents crackle finish over the stamped image, the ink runs even though it was previously dry. Therefore, I thought I would try my Cat's Eye inks and/or StazOn. Both of those inks adhere to the stamp itself but will not come off onto the paper! Surely it is not possible that these stamps can only be used with the Distress Inks.

I have seen in his videos that when he wants to stamp an image that will not run when wet elements are added to it, he uses Archival Ink.

Thanks for the tip. Guess I will now have to invest in even more inks in order to use the Accent finishes. That should solve one problem for which I am grateful. I would still, however, like to be able to use my Cat's Eye and StazOn inks with this stamp when I don't use any finish over the stamped image.

The actual reason for this is that Distress Inks react with water or pretty much any fluid making them a unique type of dye ink. You def want to use archival ink for your stamping if you are putting anything wet on top of it.

I don't know if this will work, but you can give it a shot! Try stamping with Versamark first. The stickiness of that ink will take away part of the tackiness of the stamp. Stamp the versamark off a few times, then try the stazon and cats eye inks.

Thanks so much for the info. Next time I have my stamps and ink out I will try this. For the moment, due to other things, scrapping is on hold for a bit.
