Well I have hurt my back! grrr. all I did was bend over to put the dog food bowl on the floor. Nothing strenous...but I pulled the muscles all across my lower back...it doesn't hurt there now...but up and down on either side of my spine my muscles are so tight.
I have managed to get the walls painted in the bathroom...if I do things first thing in the morning my back isn't quite as bad...but by afternoon forget it.
My cabinets have came in!!!! Dh and I will go pick them up tomorrow...but.....the countertop isn't in! The guy asked...now you have your countertop...I said no...I guess the place where he has to order from did not fulfill 4 of his orders...because they said that they did not have a PO...but he sent it with the order...so who knows! So now I will be waiting another 2 weeks to get those in. The faucet isn't here yet either...and now I am trying to find the "right" mirror. I feel like this is taking forever! Tomorrow a.m. I am going to get the trim painted in the bathroom while my dh golfs. Hopefully he will get the floor in when he gets home. Wish me luck!
I promise girls I will get around to your galleries and leave ya all some lovin...when it isn't so late.
Hello, ladies! I hope you all have had wonderful weekends! I spent mine getting my truck fixed and although it cost a lot of scrapping money...Lol, I'm glad I don't have to worry about it now. I am hoping to get some scrapping done today!
I've done a few more pages, but that's it for this week, I think. It's dress rehearsal/recital time for Cassie, so we'll be at the theater about 40 hours between now and Saturday night. Oy.
I also have to deal with getting new tires for one of my cars - I had a blowout on the expressway Friday night. Totally scary. And my other car has all kinds of issues that need to be addressed - it will have to wait a week, though.
Can't wait to see pics of the finished bathroom, Becky!
Hi Divas! It's so quiet here.I'm sorry to hear about the car problems, Lisa and Celina! Lisa I'm glad you're OK after the blowout. Sounds like a busy week for you.
I'm sorry you hurt your back Becky! How's the bathroom coming along?
I'm just getting over a stomach flu that I had for a couple of days. Not much going on. Logan's last day of school was yesterday. He made honor roll.
Lisa I saw your blowout on FB, sounds so scary, am glad you are ok!
Celina did you get any scrappy fun in to help take ypur mind off the cost of truck repairs?
Becky how is your back feeling?
Drea I hope you're back on your feet after the stomach bug! Congrats to Logan on making the honor roll! You must be so proud!
I am loving all the new pages ladies! Will leave love one of these days. I am in for another couple super busy weeks. I am making an album for a coworker of Coby's. She lost her 15yo DD last year to a very sudden asthma attack, they didn't even know she had asthma! It was so sweet, when Coby asked if she would like an album and introduced me she couldn't stop hugging me, you can really tell all she wants is to talk to someone about her DD. But I must admit this will be the hardest project I have ever worked on.
Drea...oh that flu is awful! I hear it is one of the worst! Glad to hear your feeling better.
Lisa & Celina...Sorry to hear about the car problems. But glad you are ok Lisa!!!
Andrea...I would love to see some of the layouts you make...even if they are for work!
Annie...how sweet of you to do an album for your co worker. That would be so tough.
Thank you all for asking about my back...it is better but took about 10 days to really feel normal.
The bathroom??? What bathroom??? LOL! My dh got the floor in, we started bringing in the cabs and 2 of them did not come in right! So the place where we ordered them from is rechecking...I hope they make it right! Also the countertops and faucet are still not here! I bought a mirror and took it back...so It's 3 steps forward, 2 steps back. Maybe it will be done by Christmas!
Well I get to go play tomorrow with friends...let's see if I get anything done! I have at least 3 cards to do.
I'm doing a major happy dance right now! Archivers just got in both new graphic 45 lines today and the new seasonal distress inks! It made going into work much much easier, although come to think of it work is never horrible...
Becky I'm glad your back is doing better-although nerts to the bathroom having complications-I bet you're just ready to be done with it all. But it is going to be just gorgeous when you're done
Annie....I just can't wait to see the new G45 papers! I would be broke if I worked in a sb store! But maybe not because I would get pickier about what I bought...ya think? Sorry I'm rambling tired and hurting.
My crop didn't go well. Forgot all kinds of things and then that just made the mojo go away. Hoping to get into my room tomorrow to get my cards done for the weekend. Otherwise it will be bought cards. waaaa!
Becky oh Nk about the hurting!! Your back still? I went a little nuts the first couple weeks I worked there, the novelty of it and the initial discount excitement. But a coworker told me she never buys anything new until we have had it in for two weeks. And it really helps! If I am still thinking about it after two weeks I get it, but most of the time it stays there. My only exception is Graphic 45 since I usually stalk the shelves for that! Hope you are feeling better after a good rest
We got the new g45 about a week or so ago. Its beautiful. I haven,t bought any yet though. I bought alot when I first started working and now I waite and really think about it.
Becky remodeling is always 1 step forward to back. at least in my experience lol. It will be wonderful when its finished.
I cant remember if I mentioned dh was considering taking a job in Idaho. We drove 1,559 miles last weekend to go check out the area. He decided to accept since it comes with a good pay raise. We have a ton of little projects to finish around here so I can put the house up for sale. I will stay here with the house for awhile. im not looking forward to that. On the bright side i might get some scrappin done without dh being here.
Wow - Andrea! Idaho - I've never known anyone from there. Best of luck with all the preparations for the move!
I survived recitals. It's always an adventure being in an emotionally charged environment in close quarters with 20 teenage girls...Oy. (I'm the back stage dressing room manager so I'm in charge of all the oldest dancers in the most numbers in the shows. All the other kids are in the gym when they aren't on stage.) But we only had a few tears this year.
Hopefully now, things will settle down.
Here's what I did yesterday (It's funny to be doing dance pics where Cassie looks/is so young - she's 10 in these pics and 15 now):
