anyone have any ideas of how to make your own bling swirls? I hate paying the price for them and use them up so quickly?

these are the swirls I'm talking about.

I make copies of those enlarged and then lay a transparency over the copy and use puffy paint or liquid pearls and make little dots. Once dry, it looks almost like the real thing. Check out my gallery for examples...lots of my LOs have them. The iridescent puff paints look more like pearls.

I use liquid pearls or stickles and doodle them on!

I just got 48 self adhering rhinestones in the $1 section of my local M. I used them just like those beautiful swirls from Prima, but on the cheap.

Use a good glue (I love The Best Glue Ever)and gems. Apply them with Embellie Gellie--it will takes seconds to place them exactly where you want them! This weekend on a card, I used Embellie Gellie on the Best Glue Ever to adhere those teensy tiny gems that are made for fingernail art (a whole bunch for $1 at The Dollar Tree). It was AMAZING!!!

Here's a demo of Embellie Gellie from Taylored Expressions(BEFORE she started using The Best Glue Ever, though) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9nd5OhDVis

Are liquid pearls found in the same area as Stickles? I want to try the technique, but don't have liquid pearls in my supplies. I was in a large scrapbook store today in Tennessee and did not see Liquid Pearls.

I bought my liquid pearls online on evilbay. I've never seen them in a store. Personally, I just use puff paint now, it is lots cheaper and works the same, just get the iridescent or pearl type. Also, Ranger had dimensional pearls out now, they are a bigger bottle than the liquid pearls, but have prettier colors and they work the best for the little dots, but they are more expensive to. You can find them online also, but I don't know about locally either.

this may be a "dumb" question, but if you do the image on a transparency and then with the puffy paint and let it dry how do you get it to stick to your LO? do you use sticker maker, or glue dots or that "best glue ever" (where do you get that glue?)

The Embellie Gellie looks just like the wax I had for my braces years ago. I wonder if that is all they are using. May have to go get some from the local ortho!
