What is the best paint for chipboard. I have all this grey chipboard and want to use it but would rather start with a white canvas. I'm looking for an inexpensive white paint for chipboard.
Can anoyne recommend anything?

Thanks...

I just use the super-cheap Apple Barrel paints you can buy at Michael's or Hobby Lobby. If you catch them on sale, you can get them as cheap as 50 or 60 cents a bottle, but they're normally around $1.00 per bottle. They work great!

Any acrylic paint. As Ami said, Apple Barrel, DecoArt, FolkArt, Plaid ...

Ditto on Linda and Ami... I only use my Tim Holtz white if I'm going to "keep it" white! The cheap-o's from Mike's that are on sale will do what you need! Also, you can always pick up a bottle of ghesso (make sure you get white, not clear) to coat your chipboard. That would prime them for just about any other medium you would want to add on top of that.

Gesso is a good product to have on hand to prime a surface. Get the white one. Then anything you put on top of it will stay truer to the color because you'll have a white base. And any acrylic paint, folk art, apple barrel, etc., will do.

DITTO!!! I use folkart, applebarrel paints from Michaels. Really cheap too. I just used a permanent black maker on a few came out good. For white use the paints above.

you can also cover it in patterned paper. I love the look of that then it matches perfectally any paper you are using.

I also like using Glimmer Mists and Distress Inks, too!
