Tuki, thanks for your kind words about my layout! Kathy, I have that list of verses in the front of my Bible, but I may have to do like Lissa and Kenya and scrap it too! BTW, welcome Kathy! This is a terrific group of ladies.
Molly is doing great! She had her first visit to Sunday School this past week. The nursery school kids I think were a bit much (particularly the one little boy who was chasing her around and yelling) but overall she did really good.
We will overcome
by the blood of the lamb
and the power of our testimony
Thankful for all your words of encouragement. A couple of brave friends shared w/ the congregation today about a porn addiction that lead down the road to an affair (his). Her words of clinging to scripture, and both of them testifying to the love of friends was so powerful. I say: be the kind of person that others know they can trust in their crisis.
May what we scrap reflect our authentic relationships with one another, and reflect our integrity as a way of glorifying The King of Kings.
Wow Betsy, that was powerful! There are so many people in the Body of Christ that still struggle with porn. We are going to have to keep our brothers and sisters lifted up in prayer...for deliverance! No I don't know that song. I will look it up so I can give it a listen.
Jen, glad Molly is good! LOL with her visit to Sunday School. I can imagine her reaction to the hyper babies in class!
I can't wait to see your layout of the scriptures.. I am so happy that Kathy shared them and Lissa scrapped them
I pray all is well with everyone. I had really had to trust in the Lord this weekend. My mother was hospitalized. I have to admit, it was pretty scary. I had to pray until I got that inner peace. Mom is doing better and was discharged yesterday. I really learned how much I really need my mom...
Kenya, I like that chorus! What's the song that it's from?
Good evening all! I'm watching the Oscars with my mom and dad, after having made yummy fusili with sauteed shrimp, celery and mushrooms in alfredo sauce (I cheated and used sauce from a jar). And I downloaded some new apps for my iPod - Free Cell, Word Search and Word Warp Extreme. I also got the full versions of the Solitaire and Mahjong games that I had.
Are any of you familar with the music of Casting Crowns? I have a coupon for their new CD but I've only heard one song by them (and it's a Christmas song), although I really like it. What other groups would their sound be similar to?
Hey ive been a member of scrapbook.com for a while now, and i am a scrapper-well a newbie but im learning. Today is the first time ive been on the "Non-Related Scrapbooking forum" and this one caught my attention. i was just wondering...is this basicly where you just chat? or can someoone explain the Jesus Girls chat group to me?! Please i would love to be a part of it!
Hey everyone. Good to look back at your posts and catch up. I've been given several half days of subbing this week. It's God's blessing, and always perfect timing. We are 6 weeks out from the children's consignment sale that raises funds for adoption scholarships. So it's time to start advertising. I'll use these few free hours to make flyers and post them around town.
Friday night our small (me and 2 others) Paper Trails group, after many months, completed seven albums. I am so excited to get these to DCFS and share some love w/ kids who might not feel that loved. You can check out my gallery for a bunch of pages we did (just a sampling). Bellow is an example of how we like to end each book. End page for Foster Care books By Girlscout333
I made 5 pages out of scraps Friday night. Such a fun challenge! I was totally psyched about helping someone AND reducing my stash.
Could you do this? I promise, your DCFS worker will be thrilled to know someone was thinking of those kids.
I am sorry I was MIA for some time. I was just feeling a bit blah, have you ever felt that way/ I do apologize for not being around when all of you were going through some things yourselves. I am glad that all is well and to hear of the victories and peace that you have received. Praise God!!!! You are all a terrific, strong and wonderful group of women and I love you all!!!
Greetings all! Welcome to our happy little "family" ellybug! Lissa, thanks for sharing that song - what a wonderful reminder that no matter what we're going through we've never alone.
I went back to Blessings and bought the Casting Crowns CD - it's really good! And now I have enough coupons to get a free CD, so I'm thinking about getting another Casting Crowns CD. I also downloaded their first CD from iTunes.
Last Sunday, Molly went on a play date. One of my friends from work has been bugging me to come over and see her new puppy, and last week she suggested that I bring Molly over to play with Missy. Only problem - Molly was afraid of Missy. Missy is a MinPin-Chihuahua mix and weighs about 4 lbs. soaking wet. Molly is about 13 lbs. Kelli and I took the dogs to a local dog park near her house, and Molly was afraid of all the other dogs there. Sigh. But she did have a good long walk and got lots of exercise.
Jen ~ Awww, I am sorry that she was afraid of the other dogs. Maybe little playmates with Kelli's dog will help Molly get used to being around other dogs. I Love Casting Crowns!! Which albums did you get? If you are looking for some other music in the same genre of Casting Crowns you might like Deluge or Tenth Avenue North, maybe even Jeremy Camp or Rachael Lampa. Let me know what you think should you listen to them. Hope this helps.
Lissa, you are in my prayers! I hope that things work themselves out for you. Be strong!
Kelli, I've heard a few songs by Jeremy Camp and Tenth Avenue North, and I did like them. The Casting Crowns albums I got are their first self-titled one and "Come To The Well", and I'm going to use my coupons to get "The Altar and The Door". I also just downloaded a great worship collection from iTunes called iTunes Essentials: Worship. It's so good! I highly recommend it! My friend Kelli and I are planning on another playdate for the puppies - her Missy also needs more socialization.
I posted an altered project and a couple of stories on my blog about recent happenings; I also got a link to my newly-created Photobucket account and I've got two albums of pictures in it. Consider this your invitation to come for a visit!
