Marie Antoinette Shoe Fettish Swap
Do you like elegant, shabby and vintage art? Do you like shoes? Then this swap is for you.
Marie Antoinette was a lady of style and elegance from head to toe. She used lots of beautiful fabrics, lace, ribbon and precious stones in her dress and shoes. So this is an opportunity for you to design a shoe that a queen (Marie) would wear.
Go all out and use your best supply of beautiful goodies. This is a high end swap so please do your best work ever, which I know you all could do. I will have groups of 3 queens. You will make two shoes to swap with two queens that way you will have a pair 1 shoe from each queen. You will include a small fragrant sache or lace trim and charms or candy in each shoe as an added treat. Below will be a template which you will save in your computer and print on 8x10 cardstock paper. Also there is a tutorial that you can look at (see link) to help you assemble your shoe. You can pm me for other Marie Antoinette Blogs to inspire you, I have a bunch that I follow with very talented ladies, so feel free to pm me for them.
This is so much fun that you will want more Marie Antoinette Swaps…..
Here is a sample I did, It is my 1st one so its not perfect:
Sample Shoe for Swap By Martica
Here is the blog and tutorial also the template to save and print:
Here are some tips to consider:
I made 3 platforms 2 of cardstock 1 of THIN chipboard, one goes for inside shoe, chipboard goes on the bottom of shoe so that it won’t be so flimsy and the 3rd cardstock goes to cover chipboard .
The top of shoe that covers toes should be a little wider so that it can make room for the sache.
Paper should be reversible especially for the back of the heel.
I will send invites and anyone else that I have not sent an invite will have to PM me to add to list. If you have flaked in any of my swaps I will not honor your request to join.
This swap will end Oct 10, 2010 so be on time…. Or you will be beheaded...
