so I picked up a jar of this crackle medium the other day,,,,,I had some mat board (with a photo cut out for a photo), so I crackled it and then inked it brown, and boy does it look AWESOME,,,loved it,,,,

now it needs a crackled frame in tea dye too and some shabby chic roses, lace, etc,,,,,I want to put my grandma's photo from 1923 in it for my mother for her Christmas holidays,,,,,

HOWEVER, before I decorate it, I'd LIKE to hit it with some sort of sealant,,,,

can I???

Sure. You could use mod podge. That would just add to the fun texture!

Hm, not fond of mod podge,,,,,it tends to stay sticky long after dry in our hot humid climate But if I can use that, I can probably use something else too Thanks!

Holly--why not a spray fixative? It is a sealer and in multiple coats it will give a polyurethane look. I know it comes in matt or gloss as well. Krylon also makes a spray clear acyrlic sealer---that would work as well.
(I agree with modpodge...never dries enough for me)

Sounds nice. Post it when your done. I've never had luck with crackle stuff before. Maybe I'll have to give the Tim Holtz a try.
