boo....my laptop connection is iffy and I lost my post.
Ashley, crossing my fingers (all 9 3/4 of them) that you hear from employers in January.
stetz, how was the meet and greet?
pain level is up again today. sigh. I either overdid it or forgot a Tylenol dose at lunch.
tomorrow is our company holiday party. we used to have huge formal dinners, and then had lunches followed by the afternoon off. this year is different. our company is chartering a bus that will pick us up at noon. we will go to a bocci ball/restaurant where we will have lunvh, play bocci and have a chance to win prizes. the bus should have us back at around 5pm. i'm really looking forward to it.
Hiya? Went shopping with my mom today. It was supposed to be Christmas shopping but it turned into a shopping trip for stuff for my sister to take with her to Ireland. I'm starting to get very confuzzled on how Christmas is going to work this year LOL! My sister is getting her gifts before she leaves but then we're having a Second Christmas on Jan. 6th (Little Christmas) for other gifts. I'm getting most of whatever I'm getting on Christmas Day...or something.
Becky- My mom wanted me to take Christmas off from looking but I figured it wasn't worth it...might as well get more resumes out there at least.
Stephanie- How the play and the meet and greet go?
Jen, sorry to hear about the pain being back up! I hope it's not too bad for your Christmas party...which by the way sounds absolutely awesome! I get a bonus, but we don't have a party. I hope you have a good time!
The parent meet was fine. Mom said she really liked him, but she only got to talk to him a little since we were at the play. The play was darling...they were all in pj's for the "40 winks of Christmas" theme...it was cute!
It was a preschool play so the kids didn't really have a clue what they were doing. But they were still cute with all of them dressed up. It was a religious play like the real Christmas story sort of thing. But they sang pretty kidish songs. More so than the ones I recall as a kid. But I was also older.
Jen sounds like a fun Christmas party. Sorry your pain level went back up.
Dh gets a small Christmas bonus. this year was even smaller then the years before. then they take most of it back in taxes. Oh well something is better than nothing I guess.
We are getting a new puppy. I have very mixed feelings about this adventure. My mil and fil are bringing her when they come. We are hoping she will be a good friend and someone for are other dog to play with.
She is good. She barks at everything that moves and they shed a lot. We were given her as a gift when she was just a couple months old. I think it really depends on the family they are in and what other pets they have. If they are not used to other dogs they can be territorial. If they have other dogs around them all the time they are different. We have had two and they were not a like at all. This one we got as a puppy and the other we took in when she was three.
I agree. I'm hoping that if we get a puppy in the Spring and train them during camping season we'll be good to go. Not this Spring but whenever our dogs are gone. They are old but not in too bad of health so far.
