...is most blood like. Something that isn't necessarily shiny or glittery and something that creates a true deep red color, not something pink.

Make your own. Everything else I think you can purchase is going to be glimmery. Although I don't know whether it's acid free, I use water mixed with food coloring. Or acrylic paint mixed with water - I would try plain red with a tiny drop of black to make it dark.

I like Candy Apple Red GM OR Cherry Ice Smooch..BBUUUTTT...neither of those is gonna look blood-like.

You might be better off using acrylic paint and splattering it on, that is what I have done before.

You could use Distress re-inkers... Just a thought. I know that the Fired Brick ink pad can look a little bloody. I tried to use some on white flowers on a Christmas project, and it looked gross- very much like blood.
