Hello! My BIL is over in Iraq right now and I wanted to send him a card to tell him that he is missed and that we are thankful for his service. Does anyone have any card ideas that they have done like this? I am horrible with manly/masculine ideas. I tend to want to make everything pink with ruffles and flowers! Thanks in advance.

Use any type of rustic looking items you have. Since you say you use a lot of pink and girly type of things a trip to the store may be needed. I always like dark reds, blues and browns, for mens cards!

hi just saw this site,
last year i sent over 1000 cards to irag.
they went to my grandson, who was stationed there. thanks be to god he is now in wash dc.
so when i saw this one. i had to say just do what i did and send to your bf. i would use a large box and put at least ioo in each box. when brian received it, he put it in the tent , wher everyone went, and posted a note. saying help your self. now these were blank inside so they could send home to their loved ones,
not sure if this helps or not.
god bless you bf and you
hugs joan

Looks very cute! I don't think the ribbon is too girly!

Stampin up has a beatiful rubber stamp set of a soldier and some great sentiments. Visit http://fromtheheart.stampinup.net and in the "search store" box type "115330" the set is called "courage" and the sentiments called "Service & Sacrifice" type item # "115992". Hope this helps. I get alot of compliments with this set. Good luck and sending many blessings to you and yours. One of the stamps says: "As your LOVED one SERVES our country. May GOD'S BLESSING rest upon you. my exact sentiments to you. Thank you.

@Michelle:

I make 3D cards of Airplanes and other military hardware. If you send me your address, I'll make some for you and mail them to you.
Now, 3D cards take time to make, since I have to cut out each picture and glue them together before it's going on a card. see also the website below...to give you an idea.
