I have seen some beautiful work here where the paper edges curl and look torn, Could someone please tell me how this is done? Thank you for any suggestions/techniques you can give me!

It depends exactly what look you are going for. If you want the rough edges, you can use a distresser. If you are looking for more of a crinkled look, you can try wet distressing with water and a heat gun(check out the photo tutorials on the Swirlydoos web site.)

There are some great tutorials on this site. Also, Tim Holtz's website and on You Tube. I'm not the best at it, but Tim Holtz's products (Distress Inks and his blending tool) make it a lot easier.
