Emily - I hope you are having the gorgeous weather we are here. If you can figure out how to get the kids to rake the leaves, let me know. Yours probably still like to jump in the piles

Sorry to hear about the loss Leslie.

I'm glad you had a nice trip Marlene.

Things have been busy as usual here.

That last couple of days I have been fighting with my OB/GYN office. I have a yeast infection. The last time I saw my GYN, she told me that if I got a yeast infection, to just call and she would call in a prescription. So I did that and they refused to do that. Then the receptionist offered me an appointment on Monday afternoon. So, let me get this straight, I was supposed to suffer with a yeast infection for 5 days (8 if you include the fact that I had it since Sunday)? And I am explaining this to a woman who should totally understand?

Anyway, I called my regular Drs. office and got an appointment this afternoon. I almost hugged them!

When I have my annual GYN appointment in November, I am going to have a chat with her.

I've used the over-the-counter stuff with great success.

I tried that while I waited to get in to my doctor. It would've been much cheaper. It didn't work!

I made another wreath today for Matty. She loves it, she is never impressed with anything I make. I'm kind of pumped. I'll do another one if I can find the backing.

I'm so glad that she liked it! That's really sweet. I'm going to buy stock in googly eyes. I think it'd be neat to try to make letters out of them for a title on a page.

That's a cute idea about the letters. I used them on a character once.

Seashore By Scrap4brains

That is SO cute! I've put them in the center of letters in my titles on my Halloween pages too. "O's" work particularly well.

Lesley - good for you getting rid of clothes that are too big. That must be a great feeling.

I try not to get stuck into one form of scrapping and get in a mood to try different things. I love mixed media but don't want to do it all the time. I have trouble using a lot of flowers, it seems to me I always place them the same way.

Also, I love how Heather can use stock expressions in a fun way. Shannon does it too. For me, they always seem to be something I would never actually say.

I'm a fan of mixed media too but I don't do it often because it gets so messy. Stock expressions? Do you mean the stickers and stuff that come with the kits?

Shannon thanks so much for your words on my layouts, would love to have lessons in mixed media but really don't know if its me when I love shabby chic a lot more mmmm....changing trends in scrapbooking can be confusing.

Can't believe your time at work is up already, and a speech, you are too prepared, I do hope its a wonderful time for you and they farewell you appropriately and the way you deserve, as I'm sure they will.

Yeast infection..yuk!! I hate them, had you been taking antibiotics? I always get one after taking them, so irritating and I hope its already starting to clear, its so hard to get into specialist dr's here as well.

Marlene, I would also be pretty chuffed if one of my daughters asked me to make something for them because they liked what you'd done. Well done, great achievement, I'm so happy for you.

Heather you didn't have to worry about putting that layout up, I really didn't mind, I know how busy you are.

Well I spent ages today putting more clothes in the 'to go pile'. A couple of things I really love had to go but I had to get hard on myself, can't keep things that are miles too large and have no room to put new things, I honestly can't explain how much I am getting rid of.

Lesley,

I am worried about it! You did all of that hard work. In fact, I'm writing the post now. I just popped in here to check to see how you all were doing.

I just got rid of a bunch of clothes too. I'm in a much smaller size. I still have a long way to go but... I'm trying to not buy a bunch of smaller clothes until I get down to my final size. It's killing my budget!

I'm sorry Shannon! I'm having the same issue. I couldn't get in to see my PCP about it for over a week. I went to see him yesterday and I pitched an absolute fit. Then I teased him and told him that all my test results would say: AWESOME when they came in. He was pretty impressed with my weight loss. I haven't lost any in a while but I'm holding steady. He wrote me a script for four Difflucan. See if yours will write you refills or write several pills on one script.

Of course your tests would say awesome! You are doing a great job!

Glad you were able to get things taken care of. That is nice that he gave you back ups. My Dr. gave me 1 back up. So far, the one I took yesterday isn't doing much. I am really miserable. I sure hope that yours is getting better!

The kids have the day off tomorrow. We didn't have any football or cheer practice tonight. I almost didn't know what to do with myself. LOL I ended up making the sketch for my DT.

Lesley,

Your post is coming tomorrow!

I'm glad you are getting a small break from crazy!
My kids had 1/2 day because this is Homecoming weekend. I was going to take them to the zoo but of course I am felling like carp and Danny had a huge attitude problem when I picked them up from school.

I don't have to go back to work until Monday. They are having a party for me at 3:30 and I wrote a speech. I'm sort of excited. It turned out pretty good.

Now I wanna hear the speech! I'm so excited for you!!!

I will post it here next week if I remember.

Yeah for the "to go" pile! Sometimes you have to get rid of nice things but someone else will think they are nice too. Plus, you can replace them with smaller nice things!

I have tried them with not so great success.

Thanks Marlene! When I do that, it's usually because when I see the saying it sparks a lo idea. It would never work the other way for me! You are right, Heather does a great job with that!

Thank you! If I can make it without crying, that would be great! I guess a lot of people are going to be there and I am not really a social butterfly.

My boss also wants to get together with a bunch of people at a local bar to celebrate as well. At least I can drink at that party!

Heather, do you have a resale shop like Goodwill near you? I still have some clothes from when I was smaller but I will have to buy more as I lose my weight. I plan on going to our local resale shop. It should be very cheap to go that way. have you looked on Craig's list? you might be able to find cheap stuff there as well.

Not the best photo of the banners but if I wait and get a good one, it won't get done.

Thanks Shannon! Actually, I'm supposed to take one per week for a month to see if we can get the issue resolved for good. He said some people need a longer course because they have yeast in their whole body that needs to be handled.
