The kids have the day off tomorrow. We didn't have any football or cheer practice tonight. I almost didn't know what to do with myself. LOL I ended up making the sketch for my DT.

Lesley,

Your post is coming tomorrow!

I'm glad you are getting a small break from crazy!
My kids had 1/2 day because this is Homecoming weekend. I was going to take them to the zoo but of course I am felling like carp and Danny had a huge attitude problem when I picked them up from school.

I got my pay back for my little break because this weekend has been INSANE so far. The kids had a game this morning, then we went out to lunch with the inlaws, and we went to church.

Kyle just asked me to do a mini book for his girlfriend in Nicaragua. Oh, and he wants it by Monday.

Of course he does! LOL Boys have no concept on how long it takes to do scrappy stuff.

Shannon thanks so much for your words on my layouts, would love to have lessons in mixed media but really don't know if its me when I love shabby chic a lot more mmmm....changing trends in scrapbooking can be confusing.

Can't believe your time at work is up already, and a speech, you are too prepared, I do hope its a wonderful time for you and they farewell you appropriately and the way you deserve, as I'm sure they will.

Yeast infection..yuk!! I hate them, had you been taking antibiotics? I always get one after taking them, so irritating and I hope its already starting to clear, its so hard to get into specialist dr's here as well.

Marlene, I would also be pretty chuffed if one of my daughters asked me to make something for them because they liked what you'd done. Well done, great achievement, I'm so happy for you.

Heather you didn't have to worry about putting that layout up, I really didn't mind, I know how busy you are.

Well I spent ages today putting more clothes in the 'to go pile'. A couple of things I really love had to go but I had to get hard on myself, can't keep things that are miles too large and have no room to put new things, I honestly can't explain how much I am getting rid of.

Lesley,

I am worried about it! You did all of that hard work. In fact, I'm writing the post now. I just popped in here to check to see how you all were doing.

I just got rid of a bunch of clothes too. I'm in a much smaller size. I still have a long way to go but... I'm trying to not buy a bunch of smaller clothes until I get down to my final size. It's killing my budget!

Heather, do you have a resale shop like Goodwill near you? I still have some clothes from when I was smaller but I will have to buy more as I lose my weight. I plan on going to our local resale shop. It should be very cheap to go that way. have you looked on Craig's list? you might be able to find cheap stuff there as well.

I found out there's a women's consignment store near here too. I just need to find time to go check it out. Thanks for the suggestions Shannon! I tend to forget about those things.

Lesley - good for you getting rid of clothes that are too big. That must be a great feeling.

I try not to get stuck into one form of scrapping and get in a mood to try different things. I love mixed media but don't want to do it all the time. I have trouble using a lot of flowers, it seems to me I always place them the same way.

Also, I love how Heather can use stock expressions in a fun way. Shannon does it too. For me, they always seem to be something I would never actually say.

I'm a fan of mixed media too but I don't do it often because it gets so messy. Stock expressions? Do you mean the stickers and stuff that come with the kits?

Yes, the ones with sayings.

Gotcha. I try to pick photos that will work with the sayings. LOL

HAHA..Marlene that is so funny about Kyle's time frame expectation for a mini book, they don't understand how much work goes into one do they, but I'm sure you'll make the deadline and it will be lovely. So they are still together then? you may have her coming and moving in eekk!!

Great pages Marlene and Heather, love them both.

I gave away bags of my everyday sort of clothing when I started losing weight to the Church shop in the next little town, they sell everything for either 50cents or $1...but I wouldn't buy anything for myself there, too small a town and everyone would be like me, I often say mmm...there is my old top. I have bought a few new things but not much and am holding off until I get to my desired size.

I can't believe how big the pile is that I have now and Bob just laughs and says 'I can believe it' I know how crowded your wardrobe used to be.

Had an adorable time with Will last night he was so good and went to bed like a charm. Today we went to the Botanical Gardens and they had so many things there for kids that he had a ball and so did we watching him. Very tired now though as I never sleep well in someone elses's bed, not that I sleep real well anyway these days, finally got some sleeping pills from the Dr. on Friday but will only take one when I lay there for hours and hours and can't sleep.

Becky - I just realized I called you Emily. Sorry. I used to get Heather and Shannon's names mixed up a lot. Not them really just their names. Eventually, I"ll get it right.

I am going to do a very simple 5 page 8 x 8 mini book. I sent most of the pictures of their trip to Corn Island to Snapfish for development so I'll send those. It is too hard to scrap someone else's vacation. I'll just use some pictures of the two of them.

I think Kyle realizes how hopeless the relationship is. It is almost impossible for a Nica to get a visa to even visit the U.S. and he is not willing to marry her. So, I don't think she'll be moving in.

Heather - sorry your break didn't last longer, that's life with kids. For my own sanity, I never let my kids be involved in more than one extracurricular activity at a time. (Except for short overlaps)

I didn't even notice but this reminded me of a story. Sounds like Trevor must have a girl friend. My mom heard him singing in her room yesterday. Singing Trevor and Emily sitting in a tree k-i-s-s-i-n-g. When I asked him he said another boy in class was singing that and that she was cute. Oh boy.

We spent the weekend at my mom's house because Mike was working nights. Now I need to try to get my house cleaned this afternoon.

I didn't realize that he had a serious relationship. You mentioned a few ladies that fancied him but I didn't realize he had an actual serious relationship.

That is nice of you to make the mini album for him.

Cute lo Heather! The stitching turned out perfect! Why did you think it wouldn't?

Marlene, those banners are too cool! What did you make them for?

Well, I had to go to the clinic yesterday because my misery got worse. I don't have a yeast infection and the pill for it made it so much worse.

Now they think it is a bacterial infection. It is one of the worst feelings ever. I don't know what to do about the itching. I wish I had some mittens. The pills I am taking seem to be doing their job because I am noticing slight relief. This better be taken care o before we go to Disney. I cannot go like this.

I'm going to call tomorrow and make an appointment with my actual GYN. Ugh.
