I bought some alcohol ink last night on the Joann web site, thinking I could use it for my scrapbooking. However, I neglected to check to see if it can be used on regular paper. I know it can be used on glossy paper, glass, metal, etc, but can it be used on just regular paper?

I sure hope I didn't waste my money...

Thanks in advance!

you can use it on regular paper, but it won't look the same. it'll absorb into the paper.

Will it mess the paper up? Like will it wavy, like the paper got wet?

not sure about that, it might depend on how much your pour on.

it will distort the paper. it's usually only for non pourous surfaces

I got some without realizing it couldn't be used on regular paper, but I've grown to love it anyway, it is great for coloring brads and staples to really customize.

And I've used it on regular paper when making flowers and the distortion of the paper gave the flowers a really cool grungy look.

You can use it on gloss paper and I have clear embossed a pattern on regular paper, then used the alcohol ink on it. It was a great effect and the paper did not warp hardly at all.

I also bought alcohol inks totally not knowing it had to be used on glossy paper but just last night I used it to color some acetate, brads, and some puffy stickers- it worked great. I almost think it is better for those uses than on paper!!
