Eggs, bacon & toast tonight. Well for the husband... mine will be more like Bacon, bacon, eggs (with cheese) & bacon. Had a long, hard day and bacon always cheers me up

It better be! If not I am declaring that in the "What's for Dinner Tonight?" thread that bacon is in fact a food group.

Bacon makes everything better.

I saw a show once that featured a cupcake place that puts crumbled bacon on chocolate cupcakes.

I'm not a cake fan, but I bet I could gobble down a couple dozen if they had bacon on them.

Close to instant tonight:
precooked lemon chicken breast from Trader Joe's: 3 minutes in the micro
leftover wild rice: 1 minute in micro
roasted garlic asparagus: 5 minutes of prep, 20 minutes or so in the oven ... feeling like you made a healthy homecooked meal - priceless

My DH would be all over venison steak (I don't eat red meat)

Tonight: 'tamale pie,' i.e. American pretend Mexican food, lol. Ground meat casserole with southwesty seasonings, can of Trader Joe's Cuban Black Beans, I added a can of green beans on top this time and a couple of fresh poblano chiles (roasted & sliced), a can of Muir Glen diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and topped with cornbread. This time it's a creamed-corn cornbread. Will probably add some steamed broccoli to the plate.

DSS had chicken noodle soup and I had spaghetti o's. DH isn't home tonight and I never cook a meal when he isn't here. Don't know why that is. Guess I'd rather do something real quick when it's just two of us. LOL

Last night we had sushi. Yes, we eat that FAR too often.

Tonite? Something with chicken and rice because that's all we have in the houseuntil we grocery shop Tuesday.

Feeling extra lazy as I've been battling either a cold or allergies for several days. Chicken nuggets (from frozen), a couple slices of whole wheat bread grapes, and peach iced tea.

Tamale pie leftovers from last night, I REALLY don't feel like doing anything.

And dang it, we were at the store this afternoon and I forgot to get oranges, I want to do that orange BBQ chicken this week.
