... and I was looking at buying this one from Making Memories.

Does anyone know if it cuts chipboard easily & smoothly? And suggestions on other trimmers?

Thanks!

I have the MM trimmer and I would not use it to cut chipboard. I love my trimmer, but it's not really designed for cutting through thick things like chipboard, IMO. I honestly don't know of any trimmer that cuts chipboard. Hopefully, someone else can come on here and tell you about one! Good luck!

I am still using one of the very first Fiskars cutters and it slices through chipboard.
I have the one the uses the larger of the two cutter blades, while others hated when it first came out I love it and it cuts super straight. HTH

I actually use a rotary cutter, clear quilting ruler and a olfa selfhealing mat for all my trimming needs and it cuts through chipboard no problem

I just posted this question a few weeks ago. I decided to go ahead with the Purple Cows Two in One Combo Trimmer. I bought it for about $28. It slices through chipboard like butter! I love it so much!

And a wonderful suggestion to use the rotary cutter! ...never thought of that.

Thanks!!

I have the MM one and I definitely wouldn't cut chipboard on it.

Yeah, I think you would be better to have a more office/school type cutter for chipboard. Guillotine style. JMO.

The Zutter Cutter cuts through chipboard without a problem! Book board is a little harder but still well within its little wheel house I love it.

My Tuesday Morning near me has these Zutter Cutter's right now. I think all the TMs have different inventories but it might be worth a look.

If you can wait for this one to be re-stocked it is well worth the wait. Cuts chipboard and every cut is straight and the blade is self sharpening and Fiskars offers a Lifetime Warranty.

I like my Fiskars one....it cuts chipboard but doing so does dull the blade....I find when I'm cutting chipboard, I have to replace the blade afterwards....

I generally use a Creative Memories cutter BUT nothing beats my $3. craft knife and a metal ruler.
