do you follow the blogs of everyone who follows your blog?
I love reading blogs and making comments so I try to follow all the blogs of anyone who follows mine so I am just curious what others do.

I have favorite blogs and I do try to pop in. But life is just too busy. I would love to check in all the time -- just not enough time.

No, I don't follow all of the blogs that follow me. Some of them are in my Google Reader, but not all. I just don't have the time to do so.

I certainly try to.....I think for the most part I do. And I also use my dashboard daily to see who has posted something new and pretty much for the most part try to leave comments as often as I can.

I use my dashboard also, much easier to keep up with who has posted something new.

So many blogs and not enough time! I tend follow the people who have a style that is similar to mine or that I aspire to. I also love tutorials. I don't care if they follow mine in return. I'm here to learn.

I use the dashboard too, but there is never enough time to get round to everybody's blogs. They don't all leave comments on my blogs, so I don't feel guilty not always visiting theirs.

I try to follow everyone that follows me. I think it is good manners and great to get some good new ideas!

Pretty much what she said. I believe I am a follower of everyone who is following my blog -- so they show up in my Dashboard. Most days, when it comes to actually reading their latest posts, it comes down to the combination of good health and general crafty interest that I have on any given day.
Like Red Squirrel, many of my followers don't comment on my blog, so I don't stress about commenting on theirs.

I tend to add blogs to my favorites list and try to check them every couple of days. It's what I do this early in the a.m. while I am having coffee. It's my wake-up time. I check out new (to me) blogs off of threads like this or off of the blogs themselves. I love blogs!

Kirilee, I have tried to leave a comment on your blog with Google and Google keeps telling me to sign in, but when I do it just keeps taking me back to the sign in page and won't post on your blog. I think it may be a Google problem, there have been other odd things happening in the past month with Google.

How bizarre. I've been hearing that a few people having the same problem. No doubt in a few days someone will figure it out and fix the bug

Cheryl, I tend to do the same think while I am drinking my coffee in the morning, check emails, blogs using the dashboard, then Facebook. LOL
Your post from yesterday was great!

I do! However, I am not always able to leave comments due to a glitch with Blogger....there are some AMAZING blogs out there.

The same thing has been happening to me! Sometimes I can just post the comment no problem, sometimes I have to enter my URL and name, and then on some no matter what I do I just keep getting directed back to Google sign in.

I try to, as well...although, will admit, I am falling behind. (Nice weather now...have to enjoy it while we can.) I keep telling myself that on the next rainy day I will get caught up.

I'm in agreement with a pp - if someone follows me, I usually follow them back, I feel that it's good manners and it usually helps with blog traffic. I know that the more popular blogs obviously can't follow everyone, but a small blog like mine can and I will. I don't have any listed at the moment because I just started it in April and honestly don't have many, if any, followers so there isn't a point to listing them yet.

Do you have the gadget on your blog for Followers? I couldn't find one and that is the only way I know how to follow a blog.

I just found the "Follow" link in the top left of her page. It's kind of a standard link from Blogger, even if the author doesn't add the widget.

Thank you so much, I added her URL into my blogger reader and it worked great!

You can add any blog through dashboard as well, regardless if it is blogger, typepad, etc.
Honestly I do not follow every single person that follows me and I do NOT think it is rude. I know there are blogs that I follow who aren't following me. Really it's not a huge concern.
I have a small number of followers compared to a lot of the blogs I follow but if I followed every single one of them, plus my non-follower blogs I would be well over 80 and I don't have time for that.
I follow blogs that are my style, other crafty places, recipe blogs, blah blah. I don't expect them ALL to follow me just because I like them KWIM?

Thank you, ladies; I added the widget back in to my layout to make it easier. I appreciate new followers too, and have followed everyone back so far!
Like I said in my post, I've got a small blog and for me I feel rude if I don't follow someone back. I can right now, and I've got a lot of blogs in my reader already; I just read when I can.

If someone follows me I make sure that I go to their blog and follow them. I try and spend a few hours a couple times a week to catch up on the blogs that I'm following. Have slacked the last couple of weeks, need to jump back on the wagon.

I try to follow those that follow me too-BUT I don't leave comments unless the comments box is set uo to do so easliy-I just don't have time to sign in and do word verification for every blog I visit.
I can't understand why some people have their blogs set up to make commenting such a pain!

My guess is spam. I've seen a lot of great blogs get bogged down with tons of sales adds in the comments.

Yes, totally agree, and some people choose to moderate their comments so that nothing offensive or really rude is posted. A friend of mine has a very, very popular blog that she had to start moderating because of the absolutely hateful comments being left. Sad.
