A local scrapbooking store sent out email advertisemnts saying all their Copic markers were 25% off. I wanted the Spica set and was told they weren't on sale as those are pens. However, right on the packaging it says, "atyouSpica are water based pigment markers." So...are they pens or markers?

The spica are glitter markers, but I guess the store has the right to determine which ones are included in the sale. You could always ask the manager or owner and show them a package showing that it says they are markers. Worth a try...

How frustrating!

The copic website calls them pens, though.

I guess in comparison to Copic markers, I would call them pens. JMO.
