So...my Cuttlebug broke today

I need to get a new die cut machine. What do you guys suggest?

I have alot of Sizzix dies (Originals and Bigz) that I used to cut thick chipboard. I also have tons of Nestabilities which I use allll the time

I still have my old red Sizzix machine...but I liked the way you'd roll the dies/folders thru the Cuttlebug

I did just use my old Sizzix to cut a nestie out (in the middle of a project here!)but I liked the Cuttlebug better for those

Whats the difference in what is out there now, what do ya'll like best and why?

Why not just get a new Cuttlebug? You seem to like everything about them?!

Good point Michelle lol

The Tim Holtz one looks super...but don't want to spend that kinda money

I'm leaning more towards the Big Shot...its bigger than the Cuttlebug and can cut chipboard

Anyone have the Big Shot?

Big shot for sure. I have the manual and the electronic one and I love them. They are great for dry embossing brass template like Lasting Impressions.

I traded my cuttlebug in a few months ago for a bigkick and have never looked back. I absolutely love it!

Yeah, the Big Shot/Big Kick (they're the same thing just in different colors) is pretty great.

I heart my cuttlebug! How did yours "break," and how long did it last until it needed replacing?

Thanks guys!

I just purchased the Big Shot on Ebay =)

Jasper-I had my Cuttlebug for about 2 years or so. The crank part of the handle came off. When I put it back on I would crank it but the roller wouldn't roll. I guess there must be a thingie on the inside that makes the roller move when you crank it. I tried pushing the plates thru-that didn't work either. Good thing I still have my old, red, original Sizzix. I used that but it was a pain

I want that new Big Sizzix that is brown here on SB.com! It looks awesome and since I don't like pink, it is perfect for me! It's only $99, which I don't mind if the color of the tool is right. LOL!!!

Wow, I learned tons on this thread! Thanks for all the info ladies!
I have the original Sizzix and LOVE it, but there always seem to be dies I want and either can't find, or find them when I don't have the $ to get them. Such is life, huh??!! Donna, if you decide to get rid of your sizzix dies, PM me I may 'need' some! I am looking for a horse among others.
