My boyfriend told me not to buy him anything for Christmas, as he'd prefer something I made. Well, I'm a scrapbookin'/card makin' kinda gal, so I figured it'd be no big deal...well, I'm kind of stuck. Lately, he's been going through a depression with the loss of his sister and his mom's cancer diagnosis, and his life just isn't easy at all...I wanted to make him like an inspirational book/our relationship book, and something like a journal where on the 12 days of Christmas, I write him a letter or a poem. On each page there will be a reason I love him/letter/poem to him & an inspirational quote...and pictures of us and things he loves like his car, his dog, etc.
Is there any specific way I should do this? And is it even a good idea?
Thanks ladies.

Sounds like you need a smash book!

Or some other type of journal as opposed to a regular scrapbook. KWIM?

I think it's a GREAT idea.

I know nothing about the Smash books, although from the looks of it, it might work well. I was just going to say that this is a super sweet, thoughtful gift.

I think its a great idea, and I am sure during this time in his life he might need to be reminding how important he is

yup, my husband never really gives alot of praise or interset to what i do, but has asked a few times why i haven't scrapped his racing photo's. i did and framed two for him that he had at work in his office, he since lost that job and i asked where are thay? ofcourse i know where they are now but he didn't. so yup even if they don't show it they need to feel included and important. If you can get it done and keep it hidden from him I think he will love it.
