well I have to change my budget since I got word from SU that demoship is not transferable across countries (silly if you ask me really).

So now it will be:
Budget: $50
Wish List: Riley Stamp, Girlie Christmas Papers and matching embellies, Stuff to make a Valentines Card for my honey
Twist: No Stamps other than Riley!

Budget: $50

I'm in again (of course!) I think we'll all be living vicariously through Bootses' budget this month! If you need help spending that $200, just let me know!

Kelly - here here on the self restraint!

Alissa! $10 Really?! I'm impressed!

I too am cutting back. Last year was building my collection... this year is finding a way to organize and store it!

This will be my last month with SOD for a while (I think). I hate to part with such a wonderful kit club, but I have not even opened the last three months' kits so am having a hard time justifying the purchase to my dh. And, to quote Alissa, I have so. much. stuff!!! Need to focus on using said stuff first! Aaaaand towards the end of the month we'll be moving to our bigger apartment in preparation for baby sooo my oodles of stuff will get boxed up for a little while! *sob*

That said, here's my budget for January:
BUDGET: $80
WISHLIST: SOD kit, 12x12 album, 12x12 page protector refills, clear stamp storage binder, Storage items
TWIST: NO PAPER (except what's in the kit), INK, or STAMPS!!

Thanks Tammy! And thank you for hosting!

I haven't really started thinking about scrapping my pregnancy journey. I'm sure I could scrap the two different ultrasounds I've gotten and I'm sure I'll start scrapping my growing belly, once it stops looking more like extreme gas!

I'm sorry Tammy!!! (But I'm still giggling here...)
Afraid that's really the truth of it though, I still don't feel pregnant! Glad you got a good chuckle out of it!

BTW, cross off my 12x12 album and $8.83... I ordered an album off Amazon today with some books I wanted to get!

I totally understand having to give up your SOD kits, that was the first thing to go when i left my job! I am totally cracking up at the gas comment too LMAO!! you crack me up! Now you are going to have so many amazing memories to scrap!

I will not be getting my next SOD kit until February...need to catch up on bills from christmas! this is the first year in a really long time that we used credit cards for christmas...SOOOO now that I have a full time job, and need to pay for Christmas LOL

I cannot wait to get my first paycheck though so I can go do some major shopping!! I am lucky enough to be designing for Scraputante so I get those kits free!! but they still have stuff in their store that i wants to buy LOL

I forgot I had two Groupons left for All My Memories. That's $60 worth of stuff I have to buy before January 12th. I'm struggling to find stuff to use it on, I don't really need anything.

Sonja, yay for the bigger apartment; but boo on having to pack up all of your supplies. It's going to be so sad to lock them all up in a box.

Courtney, how are you liking your new job?

Tammy, that SU policy is stupid. I love SU products, and thought about becoming a rep, but I'm pretty sure I'd end up buying more than I sold.

Hey ladies! I'm back in this month. My goal is to check in more than once a week, and not blow the budget. Any guesses as to how long that will last? I have a couple of projects going on, and have different wishlists for each project. Is that something I can do? How do gift cards work into the budget too?

Wishlist:
Stuff for SIL's album(s)- album, pps, embellies, adhesive letters. $40

Friend's gift: pps, embellies, binding device, pg protectors, photo printing fees $20.

For me: Slice cartridges $30.

Twist: Stuff that isn't on sale or not bought with a coupon.

Tammy - Thanks for the warm welcome! Sorry that SU is silly and you can't transfer membership. Sounds like someone devised this rule in order to make more money.

Kelly - Greatly admire and wish for your willpower. Teach me the ways oh master.

Sonja - Your last year is sort of where I am this year. I'm in the collecting stage...although only for a short time. Congrats on the upcoming arrival of a new member of the family and the move into the bigger space! A friend had her little girl this morning (c-section, because the rug rat was upside down for the last monthish of her term). Mom and little Juliet Clara are doing ducky.

Courtney - Best wishes to you in your new job, and that's super exciting about the designing opportunity.

kdinsmore - Love the idea of separate budgets for separate projects. That's just too complicated for me to keep track of without confusing myself.

Shopping trip to Ms was a success and I'm $65.87 poorer on account of scrappy supplies. Got a bunch of alphas (50% off Recollections), some orange and blue paper, and some 8x8 page protectors, which can all be crossed off my list, please and thank you.
Also nitpicked over the Christmas clearance and found too many goodies to count.

Also, I'm attempting Project Life this year, and part of my budget was for items currently sold out. Sounds as though product will not be back in stock until February, so...hopefully, like Alissa, I intend to roll-over into next month. Hopefully.

Sonya - totally understand about packin' up your stuff. My house sold so I'm dragging my feet about packing my scrappy stuff. Getting the rest of the house first then . . .

Good morning all! Welcome back Katie (I am only keep track of your overall but have listed the breakdown for you - this is just too much work once we get going so I hope you don't mind).

Jennifer Project Life sounds so ambitious - can't wait to see what you come up with.

signed up for mini valentine card class at A's next week. $20 off my wishlist

Kelly I totally understand not knowing how to spend the money. I walk into a store with a coupon and still walk out. My room is overflowing.

Jennifer, it's fun to accumulate a stash of scrappy goodness. Enjoy!

Vivian, have you found your new dream house yet? Makes it easier to pack when you've got the new place to look forward to living in.

Hi Katie. How is your new job going? Are you still working part-time at Ms too?

Day 4 and my budget is still in tact, but I'm off to work in just a bit. Hopefully nothing new has come in.

Kelly - yes, we have an accepted offer on a house. The catch - it's held in a "trust". Which = short sale = 120 days of waiting!!

Thanks Courtney! Glad to have you back! And so glad to hear you got a new job!!! Yeah, the bills part of Christmas is a bummer, but I'm sure it was still worth it! We've done that in the past and are somewhat still paying for it! But with the baby coming and all, we had to set a strick no credit cards/cash only policy this year. Hang in there, paychecks will start coming! Congrats again on the new job!
Yeah, it's a bummer about the SOD kit, but I'm sure I'll be back! Mel actually was okay with me dropping out after December, but I just couldn't part with it that quickly! I did drop to only the basic kit, but ended up getting an add on anyway... Oops!

Kelly and Vivian - Yep, I'm super excited to get into the bigger place. We outgrew our 1br well over a year ago, but just couldn't find a place we could afford. CA is ridiculously overpriced in the apartment market! We lucked out that our current building had a 2br coming available early enough that I wouldn't be too hugely preggo to help out. DH is on a consolidation kick so I'm having to start getting rid of a lot of things I don't use or wear anymore and it's taking all I can to keep him OUT of my scrappy stuff!! Vivian, so glad you were able to get the new house!!! When's move day for you? (And I'm whining about packing a 1br... I can't imagine moving a whole house! Good luck!)

Jennifer - Oh the collecting stage is so much more fun than the organization stage! I've been avoiding M's and J's because i know they have clearance stuff and I DON'T need it! But I want it!

Speaking of... *Squeeee!* Got my two Cricut Carts I ordered the day after Christmas!!! Now... to go home, upload them on my Gypsy and start actually using them...
