Is there a special type of ink to use? I have Archival acid free permanent waterproof ink and Distress Ink? I am trying to use a blow-dryer to get it to melt? HELP PLEASE

NO blow dryer! It doesn't get hot enough, and will just blow the powder off.

You need an ink that stays wet longer, which is the big difference between embossing ink and 'regular' ink.

another heat embossing tip: blow on the underside of your paper and not on top. i always had bits that would blow off and then melt in weird places until i started doing this. once i can tell that all of the powder has melted i might blow it on top to set it.

It frustrated me at first, too. It's fun once you get the hang of it!

I initially didn't want to confuse things, by saying this, but..

Another embossing tip...

wipe a dryer sheet over the paper before stamping and adding the powder. It helps the powder not stick (from static) to the non-stamped areas.

I have a Dollar Tree makeup brush kit in my embossing stuff, that I use to brush powder away, before heating.
