Well my night just got a whole lot better!

Thank you both for the tips on the mesh tape. Rob got some at Home Depot but I wasn't sure if it was the right stuff so I didn't open it.

The neighbor finally came home so the dog isn't howling anymore. We had the radio cranked up and I could still hear him over the music. As soon as I heard their garage door opening Rob went down there to talk to them. It went on for nearly 4 hours. The guy apologized and hopefully he does something about it. I feel bad for that dog.

I finally finished the layout I'd been trying to work on. I just gave up on having a title at all. So many of my pages don't have titles. Maybe I can go back and add one when I get my cameo.

I got the engraver papers earlier this week but they didn't have the tape there. I don't think they had the brads either. I'll have to double check what I bought.

Yay for peace and quiet. I just lost mine. LOL. hubs came home and he's sleeping in bed beside me snoring, loudly! He better quit or he'll be being booted to guest room!

Kory, just saw the yellow and gray washi tube things and I want it! You people are going to make me end up road tripping tomorrow.

I used some of the engravers papers for the valentines paper things I made for work. I plan to use the frames (except mine are gun metal color) to fill with melt art and texture with the gears texture tread. We will have to see what happens with that.

Sheryl I can't wait to see how the notebooks turned out. Thanks for posting the links... I added them to my wishlist but I'll ask at the LSS if they have them on order. I know some of the things they ordered didn't come in (back order).

Hope your hubby quiets down. Mine snores when he sleeps on his back. I just poke him in the ribs and he rolls over to his side and no more snoring. hehe

My wrist is killing me for some reason so I'm done for tonight. Gonna shut down and go read on my kindle for a while. G'night everyone!!

Oh, DANGIT- I didn't see the Engraver brads. Them is some nice lookin' brads!

Yay, I'm home now. It started snowing right around the time I was leaving the theatre. It was so pretty. Huge snowflakes! And really coming down! It isn't supposed to go on for long- but wow, it's purty. Audiences from a show upstairs were just coming out, at the same time, and going wild in the street- dancing around and screaming. It was pretty fun.

There's a tour, upstairs in "The Big Room," of a revue called "100 Years of Broadway." We've been listening to it, downstairs in the dressing rooms, thru the house monitor- and as long as the singers are singing, it's good- but when there's some badly written jokes or connecting material between songs... whoa. Who wrote that... But one of the guys in it was in DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES on B'way (one of my FAVORITE flops ever, and I'm so lucky I saw it! I even bought pairs of plastic vampire teeth in the lobby, lol) is in it, and I'm so so tempted to take my Playbill upstairs and get it signed.

okay- if you were here, you would've seen me get up after that last sentence, tear through a couple of huge Rubbermaid bins full of 'the good Playbills' and find the one from Dance of the Vampires. I'm gonna try to get it signed, tomorrow night!!

Okay... 11:37pm. On a snowy Friday night. What ta do. What ta do...

I don't know what I would ever use the engraver items on, is it wrong that I want to just buy them to have?

No, of course not. Nothing is wrong. Wrong is the clip I just watched on youtube. (everyone, stop reading, as I know you're not a musical theatre Rainman) WRONG is the clip I just watched on youtube. WRONG is the high school theatre teacher who saw his/her self as the person to fix the problems in the 1988 Broadway flop, RAGS, by re-staging it, in the high school theatre program with only enough money for a plain white backdrop- because like most schools, the arts program doesnt need MONEY to encourage TALENT, the money is needed to buy the football team a BUS with MONEY FOR A TOILET CUZ GOD FORBID THEY HAFTA PULL OVER AT THE NEXT EXIT and, before it sounds like I'm defending the drama teacher who thought he could fix RAGS (obviously, I'm the only person alive who can do that) decided to have the immigrants dance the same moves as the immigration agents who are, for some reason unknown, costumed as 1950's police officers. Actually, the reason is most likely that they did West Side Story last year, and split the role of Office Krupke between the 8 boys who auditioned.

Hi, ya'll! Happy weekend!

Been a majorly stressful week. Still not sure on the job front yet. I've probably still got a job of some kind, but not sure what it will entail. I hate to change since this has been so perfect, but in this economy, I can't turn anything down!

My drywall tape says Fibatape inside the roll - it is mesh. I did get the finest mesh. It doesn't feel sticky - not much.

It has almost a plasticy texture. Mut you can see throught the mesh - like a screened window almost.

If is more like the stuff for post-it notes.

Definitely not painters tape - that is way to sticky!

Hey, y'all and happy glorious my fave day of the week Saturday!!!!
First off, congratulations to me, I now have a pet sitter!! The owner and the woman who will be my regular sitter came this afternoon, and I fell in love with both of them! It is such a weight off my mind to have this taken care of, now maybe I can sleep instead of laying awake worrying about it!
Korybean, I actually made it to Demo Day today, had a good time as usual, chatted with a few people and got some scoop on a certain someone who shall remain nameless but you know who I'm talking about because this person is the cause of a certain boycott action. LOL! AND.... Found out that another certain someone who we shall call Kory did not turn in his hearts for the swap. Dang it! I was so disappointed, from what I saw when you started them, I was all excited to see the finished product.
Ms Tanya, hope Josh is doing lots better today. Lady Tammy, so glad you have internet again! It will be good to have you back. Ms Sheryl, how have you been feeling? Hope the meds are helping your pain. Jarvae, Judy, Judy, Alison, Manda, Rosey, Besney, H.J., and whoever else I am probably missing because my memory is nonexistent, hope you're all enjoying a lovely weekend!
Catch y'all later...........

OMG OMG Darla! WHAAAAT IS THIS SCOOP!!!??? You can't just mention something THAT tantalizing then just tell us to have a lovely weekend!!

I am midway thru act one at the show... As much as I'm looking forward to BUG opening next, I'm gonna be so sad to leave this show!! I love every actor in it and we have so much fun! However, tonight got off to a rocky start pre-show. We were pre-setting all of the props and I noticed a fair water mark on the stage. Where could WATER be coming from? OH MY GOD HOW MAN SHOWS HAVE WE DONE AND HOW HAVE I FORGOTTEN TO EMPTY THE DRAIN BUCKET UNDER THE SINK?!?!?!

SO- I ask Jeff (crew guy) to empty the bucket. I'm thinking he'll walk backstage and get the bucket but instead he heads right to the false cabinet front that's onstage- it's a non-openin cabinet, there for looks- it isn't one built to open- well, he grabs hold of the knob on it and somehow yanks the cabinet front clear off of the front of the set. THIS THING WAS HELD IN PLACE WITH *FOUR* LONG WOOD SCREWS WHAT IS HE, PART GORILLA?!

So then begins an epic construction phase filled with epic cursing. I find a drill and screws and then can't find the color of paint the set guy used- oh it was a nightmare. Meanwhile, the cake still needed to be patched up with Kool-Whip and made 'new' again.

I don't thin I've ever ran back and forth and did so much so fast in my life, before.

Cue barrage coming up! See y'all later! Darla, Ima text you as soon as I'm finished.

It's almost 3 am and we just got home. Hubs said he needed to finish his mission on his video game so he can save it and shut everything down. I don't know why he couldn't just let it sit for a few more hours but thought I'd check in while he does that.

I got a little bit of scrappy time in today. Finished one layout last night and got a good start on another one today. I hope I can finish it tomorrow.

Then we went to hang out with some friends. We went out to dinner, then got back to their place and were trying to figure out what we should do. Somehow we decided that going up to the Winstar casino in Oklahoma was a good idea. So we hopped in the car and drove up there. It's only about a 45 minute drive from their house. We stayed a few hours and played. I came out $40 ahead. Then we drove 45 minutes back to their place, then it's another 45 minutes for us to get home. I am used to staying up this late but hubs is definitely not and I don't know how he's staying awake to play a video game. LOL.

Hope everyone's weekend is going well!

oooooh I love the WinStar!!! I've only been once- for my boss' huzzbin's birthday party. I do love to gamble!

Back when I was a travel agent, it was SO cheap to go to Vegas. Me 'n my coworkers used to joke that it was cheaper to go to Vegas for the weekend than it was to stay in town for the weekend. We'd buy a 49.00 ROUND TRIP ticket on the charter plane that used to fly from OKC to Vegas, nonstop- that we called "The Flying Trailer Park." Now, I don't want to be offensive to anyone who lives in a trailer, but there is a stereotype and even if you don't fit the stereotype it can be fun to embrace the stereotype. Anyways- you can guess why the cheap charter flight was nicknamed as such- because of the insanely cheap (pre-9/11) price for a round-trip ticket, it attracted ... a certain clientele... along with adventurous fun-loving bargain hunters who don't think they're too good. Like myself. It was a RIOT. The plane was always SO rowdy. We always played 'The Dollar Game,' where someone would ALWAYS talk the flight attendants into walking through the plane to collect dollar bills that you'd write your seat number on- they'd draw two and the winners split the money. Then the charter-person would push a cart thru the aisle, selling VEGAS t-shirts, cuz I guess that's the classy must-arrive attire.

Ohhhh it was fun! The charter flights stopped years ago. Every time I remember that the era of 'The Flying Trailer Park' has ended, my heart hurts.

Good morning all!

I am gonna scrap today! Yesterday went out and enjoyed the sunshine and it is another beautiful day here. I could get used to this kind of February weather. We just wore sweatshirts yesterday and even got too warm in that.

I did miss my traditional February Long Weekend bonfire and chili cookoff back home but they posted a little video they made for me so it made me feel like I was there. Only thing I couldn't do was sample all the chili and drink the tequila

That sounds like such fun. Bill and I are such bargain hunters when we travel - and we would have fit right in. We are minimal drinkers now - espcially since Bill's pacemaker was put in and he's on his pill cocktail twice a day - some really heavy duty stuff. But we still have a blast everywhere we go. And being retired we are so relaxed, if we relaxed anymore we would be dead!

He makes his own wine but after seeing the rotten fruit floating around for a while I tend to buy my own moscato. But not that often. I'm a light weight and it takes very little to get me tipsy and its not a good idea for him. He's down to 3 or 4 glasses of wine a week. The doctor limits him to 6 ounce where he used to drink a 12 ounce glass.

However, I love Fuzzy Navels! Could drink them constantly but normallly I don't have one unless we are out or with other people. ANd pina coladas. Okay - I'm a fru fru drinker. And I love love love the Moscato they serve at Olive Garden - both of kinds or brands!

WHen my girlfriend and I go to Olive Garden for lunch I have to have a Moscato. Last weekend at the crop I had some kind of wine I didn't like very much.

Driniking was a lot more fun when we were younger and bar hopping and partying than it is now. Now it is for the taste, because we enjoy it. Then it was for the party that was in the bottle!

Its cold here! Gets down in the 20's - really sucks. I had the heat on all last night. Okay, 20's aren't much to somje of you but when you aren't used to it - its pretty bad. Bill didn't even go to the flea market this morning. He and Joe never miss the flea market!

We got another CD of Ally McBeal last night so we are now watching one episode a day again. They only put 3 or 4 on each disk. I got on line yesterday and ordered the entire 5 year series in a boxed gift set. I'm tired of ordering form Netflix one disk at a time.

I gave Bill the 20 years set of Law and Order for Christmas so we watch one episode of that a day too - starting gwith the first season. We've now seen two.

Since it is cold I doubt either one of us venture out of the house much today.

Good point Terri - I forgot to ask about Josh's infection, glad you brought that up.

Haven't seen much of you on here lately - now that you are retired!
