In Eth...took custody of her today (visited yesterday...but i had to work today here so i didn't take her then). going great..she is sick but getting better...took to dr this morning...congestion.
she is so happy... :-) and I got to deliver great news to a 13 yr old today that she is going home next week! she was sooooooo happy!

ELynn...she was already legally mine, but I could not take custody until the U.S. Embassy cleared the case for immigration/visa (special process for adoptions)

Most of the people I know who have adopted say Gotcha Day for the day they took custody of their child and Airplane day for the day they came home

traditionally, I think it's the day you got your hands on her,,,,,,but I would think whatever you would rather
How about celebrating both?
One of my friends celebrated "Gotcha Day" as the day they took custody in the country,,,,
and celebrated "Forever Family" Day on the day they got back on US soil!
