I just got a Grand Calibur and I only have 4 sets of dies so far but I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. I'm having a hard time figuring out which next because there are so many great ones but I know I want the Ironworks. I also think I will get the bitsy flowers.
I have the Donna Salazar Sprightly Sprockets and they are so awesome!
Two new ones the Floral Ovals and one of the Tuck dies...I want that.

Ooooooooooo I want those sprockets!!!
the only way to do it is just make a list and buy them one at a time for as cheap as you can find them LOL. my list keeps getting longer, and I keep knocking one off and adding 3 to the list LOL

I get confused, are nesties the same as spellbinders?
can I use them in the original Sizix? the old red manual one?

Nesties is short for "nestabilities" made by spellbinders. But they also make "shapeabilities",,,,simil ar, but they don't "nest" one inside the other.
Here's nesties and shapeabilities,,,,,,
and yes, you can use the regular nesties and shapeabilities in the big red,,with the proper plates etc, but not the grands

LOL, tell me about it! I got the Big Kick last June.
I got the Grand Calibur this March.
Not even a year LOL. I still use the BK for the thicker dies,,,,,,but it sits doing nothing most of the time.

My favorite is the Grand 11!!! I love it I have made several albums with it. I use cereal boxes cut them with the largest size then go down one size and cut out my inside pages.

The grands???
I use them for shaped cards, mostly,,,,,and I only have one of the grands,,,,,Labels 23. I don't plan on MANY of those, they are VERY pricey,,,,I think i want two more, labels 4 and labels 11 Grands.

no grands here ... I don't have the machine for them (and I don't have the room to put the machine if I got one)
faves right now are:
rose creations
sprightly sprockets
spiral blossoms (1)
fleur de lis squares

Love my grand labels 23! Use them for matting backrounds for pics. Very cool.
I need to get the smaller ones though for my new card making venture......
Holly check out J's online for grands. They are always on sale.

Hi Holly
Thank you for starting a thread to make me want more nesties
I only have Labels 1, 8 and pinking circles. I really want the sprockets set and quite a few more. I haven't made a list yet, but I am going to.

A little OT, but could someone tell me why I need/should get the Grand Calibur when I have a Cricut E and a Cuttlebug? Do the shapeabilities fit in the CB, or are they too big? Some VERY nice shapes out there....

you only need the GC if you want to cut ALL of the Grands, Lucinda. Your CB will cut all but the largest two, but they are SO expensive that if you spend 40 or 50 bucks for a set, YOU WILL WANT TO CUT ALL OF THEM!
BUT, if you have no plans to buy the Grand dies,,,,,you don't need the grand calibur,,,,,,your shapeabilities will fit in your cb
Happy birthday, Peg!!!!!
No, the GC doesn't cut a 12x12,,,,it does cut a full 8.5x11 without trimming though,,,,
I think ONLY the pro and maybe the Creatopia (not sure on that one, but I am almost positive) cuts that large.
