I'm reading "Lionheart" by Susan Kay Penman. She is an excellent writer of historical fiction. I think it would be wonderful to scrap The Holy Land/Europe at the time of The Crusades. Imagine the color contrasts and richness!

This may sound silly, but I've been able to purchase the original Oz books for my Nook and am reading them one at time. The books contain the original artwork and The Wizard of Oz is my fave movie. I might have to try my hand at an Oz page, about my love of the movie and books...hmmm, ya got me thinkin' Marcy!!

It's an interesting idea!
I just finished reading "Burton on Burton" which is a collection of interviews with the director Tim Burton. Fascinating - just love him!! Not sure how I'd scrap it, but I do have plans to scrap our visit to LACMA last year where they had an exhibit of his artwork.
Before that I read "Reading the OED" - which is a journal of a guy who spent a year reading the OED. All of it, A to Z. And he listed a few of the interesting words that popped out at him. Also fascinating, highly amusing at points (I laughed out loud several times), and made me want to read the dictionary. Or at least browse through it. Upcoming on my bookshelf I have "The Meaning of Everything" which is a history of the making the OED. Also really not sure how I'd scrap this - but old dictionary pages would be really cool for some mod podge projects!

The OED is the best! I have the Oxford Collegiate Dictionary, from which I cut the name off of the cover so I could use it in a LO. I include it here. I know I have already posted this, so forgive.
I am reading Lee Strobel's The Case For a Creator. He is an ex-atheist who comes to believe THROUGH science. In his book, he interviews everyone from theoretical physisists to mathematicians to biologists. Turns out, there is a large number of scientists who believe. It's a great book, but it's not light reading, so it's slow going. I would love to somehow scrap it.

I just picked up The Wilder Life by Wendy McClure. Its about wanting to "be" Laura Ingalls Wilder n childhood memories of reading the books and "living" her memories. I'm loving it because I too " lived Laura" as a girl. This would be fun to scrap, especially now that I work in a colonial revival museum!... A family trip across country following a covered wagons trail...in my 21 st century pop up camper with family by my side...sounds fun!

oh what a fun concept, I love books! I'm currently reading "I married adventure" but osa johnson... famous kansans they went on all these safaris and trips to the south pacific in the early 1900s to take pictures and come back and lecture on what they found, it's a book rich with so many great images, and it's romantic, these people just totally go along with one another in such a nice way
