Good day, I was wondering if anyone is planning to attend the 2012 Puerto Rico Scrapbooking Event. I live on St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and I plan to go and would love to meet some new scrappers since I think I am the only one on this island that does it

Have you ever been to Puerto Rico before? If not you are in for a treat! We visited a few years ago for 4 days and old town Puerto Rico was awesome.

Two fabulous castle/forts - very different. I'd recommend seeing both of them. ANd they have a cemetery on the ocean with the ocean for a backdrop. The cemetery is so beautiful it has been used in several movies. You get great shots of it from one of the castles.

There is a hole-in-the wall food court by the big park where all the events are. A sign says, "World's best smoothies." The sign is totally true. I'd go all the way back just for a pina colada smoothie!

So when is the retreat?

Hi there!! We actually went back in January and stayed at the same hotel as the event is being held in but we were there on business so I didn't get to do any sight seeing and if I go to this event, I doubt I'll get to do any then either. There are no scrapbooking stores here on St. Thomas and nobody to scrap with so if I get to go to this event, I will be scrapping my heart out!!!
