Okay I am extremely cheap! I made a card and I cut the shapes with my cricut. I have been setting the paper aside so i can trim it down to use in my cricut again or cut the shape by hand (not likely).
What do you do with the paper you have cut from?
I guess I am also a bit on the twitchy side because I can't see mixing it back in with prestine paper.
I threw a bunch in the trash because my cricut mat was too sticky and bent/ripped it up but that seems so wasteful.

In my scraproom, small to medium scraps go in the small drawers under the desk. Scraps that don't fit in those drawers go in a large plastic shoebox, and anything that doesn't fit in there just goes back on the shelf where it came from.

I used to do the same when I had a scrap room. Seperated into small and large stashes. As for uses for it. Cut out back drops or letters. also good to use for practice new techniques.

Oh, I thought you meant "how do you store it", not "what do you do with it" - I use it with cutting dies and to test techniques and pens, and sometimes with the Cricut, and sometimes as a journaling background, or to stamp on, or, with long ones, as a coordinating strip across the page.

My friends frequently scrap at my house so we keep an art bin with card stock scraps, 1/2 sheet or less. We all dip into as needed for letters or photo mats or die cuts or whatever. Occasionally I weed it out when too many of the scraps are too small and I can't close the bin.

This topic was covered here a few weeks ago and the ladies came up with great ideas. Love the one from Melissa (Kelseymel) which show how to make flowers with the leftover scraps. I did and it's awesome. Here is the link if you or anyone else are interested:

That's such a good thread. I've always wondered what other people do with theirs. I don't think you're cheap at all. When it comes down to it, we all spend a good chunk of money on our supplies and I know I want to make the most of everything I have.
I have mine all over the place at the moment. I don't really know how to organize my things yet.

Wow- aquabunny's scrap space makes mine look absolutely chaotic... Anyway, I also have different spots for scraps- little scraps go into a drawer and bigger pieces go in another spot. All are in my eyesight while scrapping so I don't forget I have it. I use the leftover cutout things from my Silhouette Cameo as masks unless I rip them to shreds trying to get them off the sticky pad. I HATE wasting anything!!

I use my smallest scraps with my Fiskars squeeze punches. I punch out a few of something from the small scraps and then when I send a card to a friend or family member who is also a papercrafter, I put about a dozen of the punched out pieces inside.... sort of like confetti... so she can use them on some of her cards or layouts.

I meant both. I guess i could have worded it better. lol

Thank you for all the great ideas. I love the thought of punching confetti for other that scrap; I'm so stealing that idea for my sister inlaw. lol
I started a stack of used paper (I guess I'm a bit of a neat freak) so when I need to cut something small I will look at those paper scraps first.
Since I am just starting I will probably change my system a hundred times before I decide what I want to do.

I have a little plastic container that I throw the smaller pieces in and a bigger photobox. I use them to make journal spots or on my layouts when i need small touches. You can punch shapes and use the negative too.

I use large 12x12" photo boxes. One for solid colored scraps and one for patters. It works pretty good for me. I usually have to go in once or twice a year and sort through and get rid of some of the pieces I know I won't use to make room. I'm able to use a lot of scraps this way though.
