I am changing it up a bit this month, and think that instead of feeling french, I feel british.

There are so many beautiful papers coming out that remind me of so many places around the world!

Here is the challenge:

1)Create a layout, digi, card, or altered project and post it in this forum by May 31st.

2) Your layout must contain at least 3 of the following: Union Jack, Clock, Bus, Teapot, A Pub, Literature, a crown, Queen, Any landmark in England, scones, Phonebooth, roundabouts (circles).

3) the most important requirement...HAVE FUN!

On June 1st PM me your top 3 favorites. You do not need to vote for yourself, you will automatically get credit just for voting!

TWIST: USE 6 OF THE ITEMS LISTED IN YOUR PROJECT AND RECEIVE AN EXTRA VOTE. MAKE SURE YOU LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE DONE THE TWIST WHEN YOU POST THE LAYOUT!

Thanks for joining us!

Thank you for making this a British challenge.

Considering that I have a British daughter-in-law and 2 Britican grandchildren that are currently residing in England where my son is stationed this is perfect for me.

I've had all the stuff to do a British layout "My Little Briticans" and never got around to it.

Just an FYI, the photos dont have to be from England. you just have to have three of the ingredients on your layout...

I have only ever been to canada or the carribbean...never left North America LOL...

I will still do a layout for this challenge.

wellll my maternal grandfather is from the Isle of Wight so there is some English there. There is also a little bit of Irish on that side too. Family name there is Brett (and apparently the Isle of Wight is crawling with Bretts that I am related to still today)

My paternal grandfather came over on the boat and he was born in Dundee. I have family still in Dundee, Perth, Ayrshire (all around that area). Family name is Dow. I am entitled to wear the Buchanan and Davidson tartans by birth in addition to the Nova Scotia tartan as that is my momma's birth place and the newish Canadian tartan.

I am going to live just outside Manchester as that is where my husband was born, raised, lives and works. However he loves Scotland, particularly the area of Dunoon (sp?) so we plan to spend some time there each year. He is going to take me to see my ancestral homeland (on both sides actually)

That's fantastic and I wish you all the best. Your family roots are up towards and closer to the Highlands and some beautiful country.
My clan is from the village of LUSS on the banks of Loch Lomond, the Colquhoun Clan.

Dunoon is spelled correctly. You will find a lot of places with questionable spellings and pronunciation. I have been to Manchester worked for some friends there.

Courtney, like the new theme, think I'll try to get this one done. I have been to England but it was back in the 80's and don't have photos but I still have pic of my nephew on his school trip there.

Tammy & Sandra it's nice to read about your family heritage and the geography, can't wait to see everyone pages.

Nicole that is cool and I suspect that my hubby will be doing it with me from time to time - he used to make cards doing parchment work and he is always enthralled when I am sat doing something scrappy when he is about (and then the You Must Teach Me!)

Sarah, definitely not too late. for the regular challenge, you have to include at least 3 of the elements, so for the twist it would have to be 6 of the elements listed.

Welcome!! will I get scrappy tonight?? possibly!!

Here is my layout........See if you can spot the hints of Americana in it.
The only things I was able to incorporate from the list was: Bus, Clock, Crown, and Union Jack.
But I was able to add: Fish-n-chips, A Guardsman, Umbrella, English flag, Cheers, and a Underground sign.
This was fun!

Good morning ladies,

Hope you all enjoyed your Mother's Day. I did. I've got a great idea for this challenge, it's just to take some time to pull it off. The only people I know who hail from Britain are rock banks. I'm thinking about my hubby's fav, Queen! Thinking it would be some grungy fun!!! What do you ladies think about a that idea?

jci ladies! Yep, Queen it is then! Got to get my 'rock and roll on" lol! Let me see...had anyone seen the quote on Norma's signature. It reads: Rock is dead: long live paper and scissors! too funny!!! Of course as a die hard rock and roll fan, ROCK will never be dead! :-)
