I'm new to cardmaking and was wondering if you can only use ink on rubber mounted stamps or if you can use paint as well? And if you can what kind of paint do you find is easest to work with? I am making invites for my niece's 3rd birthday nd could use some input...

You can use paint. I've used acrylic.
You need to practice with the consistency and how much paint to use - there's a bit of a learning curve.

You can use paint, but make sure you wash it off at once. As soon as acrylic paint dries, it is murder to get off.

Water-colour paint will give you an effect not unlike the Distress Inks.

Ive only ever used ink pads, but theres nothing wrong with being creative. Just dont use a sharpie or youll never be ble to wash it off lol. Probably watercolor paints/markers/crayons work well.
